Kolzig Just last year discovered that there actually is a talkie version of Judgment Rites. The old Virgin White Label release was the non-talkie version. This game and the 25th Anniversary definitely have to be got to GOG!
go_boff This would be an old child hood dream come true. I got the game on 3.5, and with the "Wrath of Khan", but my dad didn't understand his computer at the time, couldn't run it. So it led for years in a box, being installed on my mates systems every now and again, until the NT4.0 system he got (idiot) and by that point the disks had degraded. The talkie versions of both ST:25 and Rites are by enlarge the definite star-trek game, succeeding the banter, and morale "star trek" ethics that the more modern version seam to bypassed for runny/screamy/shooty action. So the talkie version needs to be archived, and redelivered appropriately.
squid830 Great game this - perfectly captures the ST original series feel. Plus in this one, they improved on 25th anniversary: there are difficulty settings for the combat, and most importantly the actors actually reprise their roles properly (unlike in 25th anniversary where they're just not really into it).
Also there are consequences at the end based on your "rating" in each mission. Or if you don't care that much about your rating, feel free to let Kirk have a fist-fight with one of his subordinates! ;)
OldSkoolRulez A classic Star Trek adventure game. Would love to see it added to GOG so I can play it again after all these years. Same goes for ST: 25th Anniversary.

Santiago I still have the original Judgement Rites version on 3,5 floppies. :) Would love to see this here. 25th anniversary too, of course.
madmartigan171 I love this game. Played it all the time as a kid, but it's hard to get working using the original discs.
RaginRondo Judgement Rites did actually have a version that was fully voiced. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zn_4KTloV9s is just a sample from the first mission. It was great that they got the whole original crew to take part, and the new characters were excellently voiced as well.
cosmicr I don't think they made a talkie version - just generic talking responses, which were no doubt recorded when they made 25th anniversary.
RaginRondo To this day, I am still upset we could not get McCoy to lay down on the bearskin rug in Trelane's castle during "No Man's Land." Darn that misleading promo art! Collector's edition of this game is still one of my most valued possessions. Great stories, gameplay, and voice acting, it truly feels like an extension of the show. This is how you do a Star Trek game!! Please Gog, do whatever it takes to get it here!! Also a plus, this game wasn't as frightening to me as 25th Anniversary was at times, haha.
