Japanese space-opera genre smash-up first released in 1988 for the NEC PC-88 (X68k in 1989's the best version). Combines non-linear space exploration (space-sim travel and combat. comes with auto-pilot), tile-based dungeon crawling with FPS combat (early strafing), some stat management, and adventure-game mechanics used during exploration and story sequences. The game takes place across four different solar systems that can be visited in a non-linear progression, and it's one of the most unique Japanese CRPGs out there. It's famed in Japan for its impressive flat-shaded polygon visuals that have aged well.

Game is partially in English (menu text), but still needs a lot of work on main text with translation and rom hacking...no Windows version available to port easily or wrap up for Mac users, so a packaged emulator standalone will be necessary. Savvy gamers can try the game on Project EGG, but that requires subscribing to that service and paying the required fee for a Windows launcher. This game's right up GOG's alley and is awaiting appraisal by a previously unexposed audience—find a way to make it happen!
