I think the IBM version of Silpheed would be a nice addition to GOG's library.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silpheedwww.mobygames.com/game/silpheedwww.youtube.com/watch?v=lRfJXe7YKvk - Lazy Gamer's Review It was published for PC by Sierra in 1988 and the game is perfectly working on DOSBox.

Considering that GOG does appear to have quite a lot of Sierra games available now, including games published around the time Silpheed was published, it would make sense for Silpheed to become available here. The game was developed by Game Arts of Japan, and it was published by Sierra, do game developers have a say in where their games are sold or how their games are sold?

Fantastic Game, brings back memories. I've tried getting the best representation of it on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4WvAampmzg

I too want to see Silpheed on this site. What is the legal status of the availability of Silpheed? I mean, has Sierra made the game available as freeware, or are any versions you can download from the Internet illegally posted because the publisher of the game hasn't made it freely/legally easily available?

Yeah, this would be great to have on GOG. It's got fantastic music (though sadly the MT-32 emulation needs some files that it seems GOG can't get the rights for, the GM MT-32 thing that Dosbox does by default is horrible, but the Adlib music was decent enough too).
