It was this game plus Panzer General 2 that caused my GF back then to leave me ('u love those games more than u love me' she said...she was right) and I've got Panzer General 2 on my GOG wishlist until I buy it later this week. If i can just get Civ 2 then with luck my current GF might go too. Please, please, please GOG, release this game and save me.

The Civilization II Multiplayer Gold Edition includes the base game as well as the Conflicts in Civilization and Fantastic Worlds scenario packs. If GOG.com is to release the most excellent Sid Meier's Civilization II, it would make sense for them to release this more recent and most complete edition of Civilization II.

This is really sort of the "classic" edition of Civ IMO and definitely deserves a spot in the GOG library. I agree with those recommending the Multiplayer Gold Edition.

The graphics are poor to today patterns, but its playability and AI are the better of the series. Even te Civ I is better than the Civ V. Some of the best and most creative Mods and Scenarios are for the II edition.
