Yeah I remember playing this at a friends house as a child, great memories. Would buy both it and the sequal instantly. Please make this a priority.
"You sir! You look like you need a monkey! Excuse me?" Aaah how can anyone forget nolf... good games, good times.. Voted!
Amazing game I'd totaly instabuy it
I missed out on NOLF back in the day and I've been trying to track down a copy that's not ridiculously overpriced (for a ~15 year old game/series) with no luck. If GOG can pull this one off, I would absolutely jump on it. I've heard nothing but good things about it from people I know and trust their judgement
I hope that those wonderful people from Night Dive are really bringing NOLF to GOG. Day 1 buy, without a doubt.
No news on it hitting GOG, but here's an article on content that was cut from the original release of No One Lives Forever - http://joemartinwords.com/2014/05/13/the-deleted-scenes-of-no-one-lives-forever/
When I was traveling to a different country, No One Lives Forever was the only game I was playing on my laptop. I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but this game had some amazing moments in it and very James Bond-ish style of FPS action and antics. I would love for this game to be available on GOG. Even if it won't be soon, I hope it can eventually make it on GOG.

I recently chatted with Craig Hubbard, who worked at Monolith during the NOLF era. He is now with Blackpowder Games developing Betrayer. I asked about the status of NOLF, and this is what he wrote: "I'm not at all a biz guy, so take this with a boulder of salt, but my understanding was that Monolith owned the IP and Fox owned the name. Monolith was bought by WB, obviously, and Fox was bought by Sierra/Vivendi which was bought by Activision/Blizzard, which I seem to remember recently had some kind of divorce from Vivendi, so it would most likely take more lawyers than I want to invite into my imagination to sort it all out. Aside from Shogo, every property I worked on became mired in ownership confusion. Blood and FEAR eventually got sorted out, so maybe it's possible NOLF will someday become available again. Perhaps." If anyone from GOG is reading this, maybe this can be a starting point to pulling this amazing series out of limbo.
I bet if someone just went ahead and published it, we'd find out very quickly who actually has the right!
Yes, this would be fantastic. If they can get System Shock 2 out of the hole, they can get NOLF.
bringing NOLF 1 and 2 to GOG would make me do backflips
The copyright holder is 20th Century Fox. Perhaps they have the distribution rights. PA0001112609. http://cocatalog.loc.gov/.
I still have both of the games on disc. Bummer to hear it won't be on GOG anytime soon. They are some of the BEST video games every made. I would love to play them again. Please GOG, keep trying for the rest of these deprived irchins.
So sad this game's stuck in licensing limbo. Heard about it, wanted to play it but been unlucky to find copy of it.
I know there's a squabble about its rights or something, but I would definitely buy this game were it made available. It's a shame that such things are lost to time so easily in this medium.
Yes please. NOLF is one of the 5 game series which I count as the best ever made... I'd pay a lot to play them properly again, since they don't really work well on modern systems by disk.
I just found out about this game from a top 50 games of all time list. Would buy it if it were sold.
Foxxy Love from Drawn Together says you need to get this, sugar.
Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! i had this for the ps2 and i loved it, really hope to see this on gog
bring this game
One of my most wanted for gog and, alongside Outlaws, my favourite FPS. Everything about this was fun and classic 10/10 material, it's a very memorable game with great level design and gameplay throughout. The sequel is also very good and another insta-buy but it's the first NOLF that for me had the perfect mix of settings, music, storyline, missions, humour... pretty much everything is right here. If ever this one arrives on gog, buy this :D
God, this game <3
Still one of my my most favorite games. So many memories. The mission adde by the GOTY edition is totally worthless though.
Monolith's finest series to date. Really nothing else like it.
Now that we have System Shock 2, NOLF is the only one left on my "NEED" list for GOG.
With SS2 done, this is now at the top of my personal list!
Awesome game that really belongs on gog. I can get it for £0.10 at my local cex store (i ain't jokin'!!) but on vista/7 it has a few sound problems that prevents the full enjoyment. To see it here on gog with a fix for the sound would be fantastique
People keep saying these games are great and they sound like something I'd really like to play but they only exist on marked up Amazon or eBay sales. Get a vanishing game like this on here and it's a snap up.
NOLF1 and NOLF2 were what got me into PC gaming (along with Half Life, like everyone else on the planet). bring the NOLF games to GOG!
LOVED NOLF. Would buy it in a second if it showed up on gog.
Get all the NOLF games up! I'm replaying the first game after about maybe 4 years of not playing? KILLER game. Still holds up after all these years. Funny, smart, it's got everything.
Considering both Sierra AND Monolith have both allowed some of their games on GOG already, I'm really surprised this wasn't snapped up by GOG ages ago to be honest. Unless the issue lies with Fox Interactive. o.o
@darthslaw There was a PS2 version with additional levels.
It was like the PC's answer to Goldeneye ;-; <3
If the NOLF games ever make it to other platforms or distributors, I will buy them all. They are that frigging good!
Here's hoping NOLF GOTY makes it onto GOG soon!
I remember the part of this game where there was the crazy laser tripwire security room that you could go under and I missed the grate in the floor so I ended up making it through by dodging a million lasers instead. Freakin' great game!
Would be great to see this on OS X again - it is quite buggy in WINE and modern machines play through the cut scenes too fast so you miss the end of the dialogue.
GOD,I want it!!...Pleease,release NOLF 1 & 2!! ..their just AWESOME!!!
Hells yeah, NOLF was the reason I joined GOG so I'm totally hoping it gets a release.
I don't believe this! I got so sick of the licensing issues related to NOLF 1 + 2 that I gave up waiting for a potential GOG version and bought physical retail copies instead. Now this voting system is released and GOG will probably get it on here now. So frustrated! But yes, NOLF 1 + 2 need to be on GOG asap!
Move Gog! How much we need to wait for this to happen?
This is one of the games I currently have and would buy the moment they put it on GOG. Not simply one of my favorite FPS but one of my favorite games of all time.
Heard great things about this game but never had the chance to play, would really like to see it brought here :)
