nitrom Yep. Mount and Blade simply has the best mounted and on foot fighting gameplay I have seen so far, and an very addictice gaming experience. I mean... just look at how horribly other games fail at horse combat, its awfull. This alone qualifies it as an exceptional game.
unlimitedstudios Mount&Blade & its expansion Warband actually fits in the indie section of games. The whole thing has gone mainstream due to immense popularity. I definitely think its worth adding in the near future. Do it GoG!
KOCollins Mount and Blade: Warband has been my favorite game to come out this decade. It improves on the original in most ways, and makes it even funner and more addictive. Some complain that there is no real story, that it is a sandbox. This is what makes the game so awesome once you get into it. It is your world, your character is making his own history, one is not contrived for him already. The combat in this game is very addictive, from jousting to horse archery, from open-field battles, to titanic castle sieges. The level up system is deep enough for you to wrestle with where to put your skill points: In leadership to command more men? or in powerstrike to become that much more deadly on the field of battle? The multiplayer added in Warband is also immensly satisfying. This game was released with activation DRM so getting it here on GOG would defiently be a great thing, and I would buy a DRM free version again in a heartbeat. After hunderds of hours in Calradia, it's a place I want to make sure I can keep coming back to for a long time to come. Make it so GOG we won't regret it. :D
