I only care about the original game, and don't have it because of it's pesky DRM. Would love to get my hand a copy.

The only reason I don't buy this game is because of the DRM

I'd be surprised if EA brings any of its titles from Mass Effect or Dragon Age franchises to GOG. Not that it wouldn't be appreciated, but it's hard to imagine EA supporting DRM free approach.

I just vote for the first installment, the rest has been spoiled by dirty marketing tactics. You can own them all on pc and xbox360 alike, but you are still required now to re purchase the DLC's. Not acceptable!

in special the good Update-Support

its one of the best Games ever
so I want it play again and again

Yeah I have it already but I would buy it to have it in some Years too
"Updates" yeah :D

A true classic - I STILL haven't gotten around to playing 2 and 3 yet, but I love this series so much. A great game - too bad Mass Effect 3 wasn't on the same level as this game.

Patch 1.02 does not remove DRM at all, it just removed the activation limit by adding the ability to revoke an activation (this is done automatically with deinstallation). If the activation servers are unreachable or EA shuts them down it will get very hard to (re)install ME...

Bought this way back when it first came out, but would gladly buy it again on GOG just to be rid of the online activation garbage.

Will absolutely NOT be buying any of the new/re-releases that come with Origin, even if it means that I never play another EA game.

Got Mass Effect on Origin. Need to start Origin client in compatibility mode to be able to play it. Bought it through the trilogy wich misses some of the big dlc's in 2 and 3. But 1 got them all(2) included. And they decided to make a 360 port but make it only work for keyboard and mouse. So no couch gaming on the pc :-(

I would like to see it happen too. ME1 is the best of the trilogy. It even looks better than 2, 3 when SSAO and FXAA implemented.

The only possible reason that makes me buy ME 1-3 is, that there are all DLCs included, nu DRM and no registration crap to use the game or the DLCs. For that I would pay.

The support for ME1 by EA is now almost nonexistent and it seems both EA and Bioware would like to pretend ME1 never happened (especially in the plot of ME3) but since it's available on Origin and the 1.02 patch makes the hard copy version DRM free I'm not willing to make this call yet. Simply put, OP, one day (and probably one day very soon) it will be reasonable for ME1 to be on GOG. But it is not this day.

Let's show that GOG has a market of people willing to pay to get relatively recent games DRM free with all patches and DLC included.

Steam(though it is a form of DRM) has Mass Effect without the DRM(Secu-ROM) that the retail version it originally had. As well as the EA classic has it as well. as well as the patch 1.02 has it DRM free so why is it on the GOG wishlist?

This can already be bought in other stores where it'll work fine. There are a ton of older games that don't work and aren't reliably sold.

GOG distributes DRM free games. Mass Effect has a shitton of DRM. Therefore, probably not going to happen.

The PC version of Mass Effect, after applying the latest patch (1.02), is DRM free. They removed all copy protections, I'd say that even the disc check. I didn't buy it until that patch was released. It'd still be great having the last good BioWare game in here, nonetheless, but I'm not sure I'd buy it again.

It's possible Mass Effect could appear on here since it's not offered on Origin. True, it's unlikely it'll appear, but out of all three games, the first ME is the most likely to be allowed on here.
