Isometric real-time strategy game developed by Wolf Team and published by Telenet in 1993 for the NEC PC-98. Hacking and translation will be needed, though many of the games' mechanics are communicated through symbols and the GUI itself. An expanded version, Hioden II' HD, came out later the same year for those wanting a hard-drive install.

Years after King MacIntyre, together with the dryad Beatrix's enchantment and love, defeated his opponents from within a beseiged castle, the same power of reanimation finds a vessel in Marcfeand and Millray, a young couple thrown in prison for crimes intentional and unintentional. Escaping from their cells, they must soon fight to survive and escape scenarios beyond their knowledge. As in the original Hioden, organizing a group of soldiers and moving around large maps in real-time (with pause) forms the bulk of playtime. Both fighting and puzzling threaten at every turn, but can be conquered with apt use of the windowed, customizable GUI and assorted group formations. Exploring for items and talking with friendly NPCs is just as important as in the prequel.
