As it seems, GOG thanks these games are "too niche". Of course, if you haven't played any of them you may tend to quickly agree withy that, nut actually these games are great fun. Not easy, but very well done and athmospheric. And yes, it's about History rather than about silly unprobable worlds, but that's doesn(t make them boring at all

I bought this on Steam and have greatly enjoyed it. It feels kind of like a fully real-time Total War game (you can pause to issue orders, which becomes a necessity as your empire grows). The game seamlessly zooms from a campaign map to a close-up battle map, you command troop units as in Total War, and you have to manage your supply lines and pay attention to changing seasons as you campaign.
Buying on Steam gave me no real benefits, as the game doesn't really make use of any of Steam's features, and I think GOG users might be more likely to be part of the target audience than Steam users.
