My first flight-sim, and the most expensive game I bought @ Wal-Mart back-in-the-day for $50 or $60. I still got the massive user manual that came in the box, and the original floppy :) Hard as hell to play (for a n00b), but supremely satisfying when objectives were achieved. Although I was frequently frustrated when I would finish a long mission and botch the landing LOL. I noticed the screenshots in the OP link are from the AMIGA, which aren't as sharp as the PC's. Also, I noticed there weren't any screenshots of air-to-air combat or snapshot of a live-feed view of a bomb/missile heading to a ground or air target. These were fully animated in 3D.
