This weekend's EA sale made me wonder why C&C + CO was not available. Make it so, GOG!

As for the people who don't understand why we should pay for them - think of the GOG goodies they could add - the amazing soundtracks, promotional renders, trailer videos, the documentary from the First Decade DVD set, a version properly set up for modern systems, which the Ultimate collection version available on Origin was not. Maybe some kind of integration with CNCNet once GOG Galaxy is released, and I'd also love to get the original DOS release again, since the versions EA released for free were the Windows 95 Gold versions, with scanlines in the cutscenes and different sidebar graphics.

Sadly never going to happen. As long as Origin exists, I don't think EA's every going to sell their games on another digital platform beyond what they've already released. They sell the entire C&C collection in a bundle there; so I don't think we'll see it here.

I still have my DOS CDs for C&C and Red Alert, as well as Win95/98 versions, and even picked up the "First Decade" set on disc. If GOG can get that bundle working without headache on Windows 7+ I would so buy it. I have my discs sitting on the shelf next to my desk but haven't played the games in years because getting them running properly on a modern system is such a pain.

Though I got all of them on origin, I get why people want it. It's the same with some games I have brought. Have the hard copy. But in this day and age having a copy that can be played without net is always nice. I still found it stupid I was forced to play the latest online, even when I just wanted to play it by myself.

Pointless request, as its availiable on origin/steam and the old games are availiable for free without drm anyways.

assuming we are talking about C&C 1, it was released as freeware a while back. I don't understand why people want to pay for them. Great game no doubt, but with a quick google search you can can all have it fo' free!

Despite being released for free, I'd like to see it on GOG, and optimized for the Win7 platform.

Unless this is about the franchise, it is unnecessary, there are fan mirrors that patch the game and add online multiplayer and console missions, GOG selling this would be pointless. Actually it is all around pointless.

I'd love to see DOS version on GOG, in addition to the Gold one. Gold's great, but it just isn't the same.

The one that started it all, and oddly enough, the only in the series that I truly liked. Would love to see it on GOG.

Such a great classic deserves to be on GOG.com. It would make a great addition to the free games list.

It was, but finding an 'official' link is difficult. Bit of effort you can find an old press release and the files on gamerhell,or whatever. I'd like to see it on here, but would have to be a freebie or very cheap and include all expansions and what not.
