wasn't the greatest game ever but still deserves a spot here, include the soundtrack in the bonus goodies and I'll gladly pay 6 bucks for it
This had such a cool style that it still looks good today.
This game was one of my first RTS games, and I love it very much to this day. Somewhat simple, but very fun and exciting. When I played Halo Wars, all I could think of was 7th Legion. I actually still have my disk but despite trying several times to get it working on newer computers, I've given up. I would happily pay for the chance to relive this one. Here's the opening cutscene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXyyWvMmquc
I currently have it running on win7 x64 ultimate edition, and can prove it if needs be ;)
7th legion can be made to work on windows 7 x64 by adding DDRAW.DLL into the installed folder, then copying over the executable from the cd image to the installed folder and overwriting the original exe. This MUST be from the original CD image.
I keep a very old computer around just for an occasional run of this game.
i had this game as a child and it was fun ,great music, fun battle cards etc. But it could have been better.... also some of the cutscenes were pretty funny, the abandonia version doesn't have the cutscenes...
this could have been a much better game.
It had some good ideas for it's time but it was just really poorly done. I doubt it will appear on GOG since you can already get it free from Abandonia
Gah, I remember playing the demo. I'd only pick this up as a freebie, and even then I'm not so sure.
It wasn't a very good game, but the music is something I'd put in my top pick of greatest soundtracks of all time.
