Schein

This game was previously on GOG, before being removed, and is back. (though in a different entry, those who had the game now have it under "Schein Base" in their library. it probably switched editors or owners) It all takes place in a swamp, so the scenery isn't much varied, but it doesn't really matter. The principle of the game is that there are three invisible worlds, each with its own platforms, obstacles and traps, that you can reveal with red, green and blue light. Switching between each allows to navigate and solve the puzzles to progress (a bit of platforming skill is required). Overall, the game is well rounded, the controls are fine, and the puzzles are well made and not boring. I enjoyed the game, it's worth its price, especially while discounted.

On the other side are low variability of environment, lack of additional game content like character development and puzzles resulting in game being repetitive after some time and rather high difficulty. Because of it sad and dark atmosphere the game is not very suitable for kids. Pros: - Story - Game concept using alternate dimension - System of checkpoints - Responsive control - Atmosphere Cons: - Variability of environment - No character development or puzzles to solve - Becomes repetitive after some time - High difficulty Schein is not flawless but I can say that I enjoyed the time when I played it and thus I am giving it Thumbs Up and 7 out of 10.

the game is focussing on the father finding his kid in a strange swamp area all across the map. but the little green wisp is pretty! it gives the game level a pretty color blend in, but the gameplay is meh. but i had around 1 dollars left and this was the only thing that caught my eye and so i purchased it with that and now i am refunding this game cuz would rather wait for another big week sale to find something else.
