Overview:

Soul Reaver 2 picks up where Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver left off, with Raziel having just plunged through the Chronoplast time portal in his relentless pursuit of Kain. Over the course of his quest for revenge, Raziel must unearth the mysteries of Nosgoth’s ancient races, expose the machinations behind the corruption of the Pillars, and the vampire genocide. Throughout the game, Raziel acquires numerous new abilities, weapon enhancements, and spells, all of which are critical to the completion of his epic adventure.

Soul Reaver is a third-person combat adventure filled with devious puzzles and kick-ass combat. Fly, swim, jump, and even travel from the material world to the spectral realm to overcome obstacles and conquer your enemies. With over 40 abilities to choose from, no two fights will ever be the same.

The worthy sequel

Starting right where Soul Reaver left, the game continues the story of Raziel, but this time with a few new twists and turns.
Greatly improved graphics, mechanics and weapons are what await you here. The Soul Reaver weapon actually plays a lot bigger part in this game than it did ever before, and elemental enhancements will give you even more satisfaction from killing or open yourread more way to progress.
The music believe it or not has also been improved, keeping the same style of the original.
Many MANY puzzles await you aswell. More complex, yet very intuitive.
The only thing missing from the original are optional areas and optional powerups.
If you liked the first Soul Reaver game, you will love this one.

The 3rd entry into the Legacy of Kain series. The Soul Reaver Saga arcs picks up right where Soul Reaver left off. In this entry everything you thought you knew about the characters, will be flipped upside down. Drama, suspense mindblowing plot twists will happen here. If you enjoy a great storyline, superb script writing and the absolute best voice acting you will ever find inread more a game. This game will literally leave your jaw hanging by the end. At least play Soul Reaver first though, and if you can get a hold of it Blood Omen as well. But don't miss this game. Keep them coming GOG.. Blood Omen 2 and Defiance next if you can!!

Best of the Legacy of Kain Series

This game is a steal at 6$. It's more puzzle-oriented than the first one, and it has a little more backtracking than the first one, which was criticized by a few people. Still, this is an incredible game, with some of the best voice-acting ever, sublime graphics not just regarding the technical aspects but also the artistic direction, which is superior to all the other games ofread more the series. Buy it, buy the first one as well if you haven't already, and enjoy one of the greatest experiences gaming can offer.
