Description
No Regret begins 46 hours after the events of No Remorse. The Silencer’s escape pod is picked up by a freighter that is headed to the WEC penitentiary mining facility on the Moon, where political dissidents and Resistance members are held. The mining operation there is the key to destabilizing the entire WEC structure from within, and this is why Chairman Draygan himself is overseeing the program. The Resistance has also managed to install a cell on the Moon and is trying to delay the Di-Corellium extraction as much as possible. All the pieces are in place and it is up to you to make the first move—and the last one.

Compared to its predecessor, Crusader: No Regret is much more straightforward, and with a higher emphasis on action. This is by no means a bad thing, because sometimes good old-fashioned shotgun diplomacy is the right solution to the problem, and the Silencer is an unquestionable expert in this field.

Nothing new, but ... :)

Whatever positive things you can say about "Crusader: No Remorse", you can say about "Crusader: No Regret". Same engine, slightly different textures, slightly different weapons and enemies, still the same game. You may ask: "Bohooo, where is the innovation???" I respond: "Fuck innovation!" "No Remorse" was an outstanding action game. And so is "No Regret". It's the same game and makes the same amount of fun you can have with its predecessor. When someone aks me which game he should get, i would say he should get both. When someone had fun with "No Remorse", he should get "No Regret". No pity with your credit card balances! Buy! Now!!

Better than the first

Darker, nastier, funnier, additional weapons, death effects more gross and more screamy. Better controls (forward roll = new tactics) plus a few twists in the plot and some lightweight puzzly shooty bits. I played it through in 1997 and despite missing Weasel, and despite having played No Remorse first, I enjoyed this one more. What's the GoG expression? Instabuy? - this certainly was for me

More

Completes the storyline of the all-too-short Crusader series, with several subtle gameplay refinements, new weapons, new enemies, and new environments. The new gameplay elements don't fundamentally change the game experience or challenge, but they add some variety. The new environments are fresh, with much new artwork and even more hidden areas to blast open. Music is as good as the first, videos about the same, missions are longer and harder, and there are no more base interludes with weapon shopping. The final showdown is considerably deadlier than the one in No Remorse. Start with No Remorse. If you like that game and still want more, it's here! If you don't, this one won't change your mind.

Sequel to Die for!

I still get extremely nostalgic when it comes to this particular game. No Remorse might have started a cult following, but it was No Regret that really took off! The whole game is a masterpiece consisting of FMV narration, strong character based storytelling, spectacular sound effects and innovative gameplay. The inspiration following this game is clearly evident in post 2000 series of FPSs. Crusader: No Regret will live forever ingrained in my mind.

Sequel with Steps Forward and Steps Back

This game is very similar to the previous incarnation, Crusader: No Remorse. This game added a few interesting features, but is otherwise very similar. A large increase in difficulty hurts the fun factor. Let's look at some of the features: As with the first, the music is excellent. The sound effects are great, and I would say the live action video is better in this one. Unfortunately, they are plentiful and often come at very bad times mid-battle, etc. And often they are before areas where you die, so reloading and having to skip an FMV 10 times is not fun. The story feels like more of an add-on than a stand alone. You have more weapons and more ways to kill the enemy. You also have a lot of new objects to damage and destroy. The graphics are excellent for the time. The controls are improved from the previous incarnation, but are still not good. The character is slow enough that even if you have a quick reaction time, you can still be easily killed through no fault of your own. The challenge is way up from the last one, adding one hit kills into the first levels for even the lowest difficulty level. The levels are more devious, which would be fine, but the enemies are more plentiful and seem to spawn all over the place, and with the way the screen "jumps" instead of scrolls, makes for many nasty surprises that lead to a lot of frustration and reloading. While this game was a great concept for its time, the mechanics of the engine are so poor that it really isn't worth plaiyng unless you grew up with it. Being repetitively shot while you are slowly turning to meet your foe, or insta-killed by a robot the second you walk into a room, etc. gets old fast. If you are willing to push through rocky gameplay, then you can enjoy the sights and sounds, which really are amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend getting Crusader: No Remorse first, as I find it reasonbly less difficult and a better entry point to the series. Again, so much potential, but wasted with a bad engine.
