The game has 3 core campaigns, Allies, Soviet and German. It includes virtually no base building, the accent being on troop positioning, as well as proper timing of offensive actions, knowing how to position land mines and other things, using air support, etc. Each unit of each side speaks in it's own language(germans speak in german, americans&brits in english, soviets in russian)read more which makes the game very immersive. All in all, an excellent game, a must-buy for any strategy fan.

This game, at least this first installment, in my opinion is a true successor of Panger General series. Yes it is real time, and yes timing of a click is sometimes important, and yes, sometimes things depend on more luck than what, but still, when you see you have positioned ur anti tank properly, when you realize german 88 flak is indeed a superior weapon , when you see yourread more artillery mopping enemy artillery down, when you feel invincible while clicking your Maus tank towards hell, then you realize this game is REALLY about immersion. Its cruel, its hard, but when you get a knack of the strategy its an immense pleasure. I recommend heartily.

I bought the original way back when and as I remember it, it was a fun game. Not perfect, but enjoyable. I liked the focus on tactical battles rather than huge campaigns and resource management. It was fairly easy to pick-up and play as I recall. For the entire package you get in this bundle, I think it's a good deal. I'm sure I paid more for just the main title and I thoughtread more it was worth it.
The graphics are good and it should play on just about any system as not very resource intensive as far as CPU or GPU. If you like RTS-style war games, you'll probably like this.
Someone else here mentioned Panzer General, one of my all time favorite series, but this is nothing like PG and vice-versa. Both are good, PG is a classic, but they are very different. PG is more in the original board-game style of war games. Lots of fun and easy to play. This is definitely RTS style, but also fairly easy to play and fun.
If you liked playing with army men as a kid, you'll love this.
