Yakuza Complete Series
Includes Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Yakuza 5 Remastered and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life

SEGA’s legendary Japanese series finally comes to PC. Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka as junior yakuza Kiryu and Majima. Take a front row seat to 1980s life in Japan in an experience unlike anything else in video gaming, with uncapped framerates and 4K resolutions. A legend is born.

The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the 80s are back in Yakuza 0.

Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima. Play as Kazuma Kiryu and discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong and his mark winds up murdered. Then, step into the silver-toed shoes of Goro Majima and explore his “normal” life as the proprietor of a cabaret club.

Switch between three different fighting styles instantaneously and beat up all manner of goons, thugs, hoodlums, and lowlifes. Take combat up a notch by using environmental objects such as bicycles, sign posts, and car doors for bone-crunching combos and savage take-downs.

Fighting is not the only way to kill time in 1988’s Japan: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to pursue in the richly detailed, neon-lit world.

Interact with the colourful denizens the red light district: help a budding S&M dominatrix learn her profession, or ensure a street performer can make it to the bathroom in time – there are 100 incredible stories to discover.

I didn't even dare to dream Yakuza here!

This series is gorgeous and unique, full of funny mini stories, sincerity, trust, sacrifices and even drama. After you've finished the whole series, you will feel sorry that the story of Kazuma Kiryu's doesn't continue anymore. A few months ago I bought all the Yakuza series on Steam. I played the entire Yakuza series on PSN and I have the original PS3 and PS4 discs as collection. I won't miss the chance to buy Yakuza on Gog as well. For the new gamers ( I wish I didn't know the story to play them for the first time as you), here it is the playing order of the games: Yakuza 0 Yakuza Kiwami Yakuza Kiwami 2 Yakuza 3 Yakuza 4 Yakuza 5 Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Yakuza: Like a Dragon and get ready for… Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (November 2023) Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (2024)

Marvelous game and series

These games arriving on GOG was a surprise, i bought and finished most of them on Steam so i can say with confidence this one of the best series i ever played and this game is probably the best of the bunch. Unfortutanely, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is still missing on GOG (probably because of Denuvo) but maybe SEGA can make a DRM free version of the game later.

Amazing game

I already have completed this on steam and Ive got to say its an amazing experience. Beginning may feel a little bit clunky, but once you get used to it you are ready to explore open worlds of the game. Also combat gets better as you progress and improve your abilities.. Story is serious but side activities are for most part just light hearted fun. Miracle Johnson and diaper man are well known by now. Out of the 3 yakuza games I played this is my favorite one followed by Kiwami2 and Kiwami1. If you are unsure if you gonna like them just grab Yakuza 0 on sale and give it a try. BTW it plays better with a controller

Start with this one

This is hands-down one of my top 5 games of all-time. It's a hard game to nail down because it's very unique among video games but the closest comparison would be Shenmue. Unlike Shenmue however, RGG is interested in telling a complete story along with a complete game. Mechanically, I would call it a 3D brawler in the vein of Streets of Rage with an RPG system where you unlock new moves, health and heat gauge. You play as two characters who have 4 unique move sets that range from slow but hard hitting to fast, agile light hitter to a balance of the two. It's also an open-world game in the vein of the early 2000s where you go around to restaurants, item stores, arcades with SEGA arcade games, and even dedicated mini-game buildings. It's also a story-driven game while straight-forward is a rather excellent love letter to Japanese gangster series revolving around two main characters: Kiryu Kazuma and Goro Majima. Taking in 1988 Japan when the Yen was the strongest it ever was, the backdrop of a gaudy gilded age with '80s clothes, disco and Traditional Japanese culture is one of the most unique I've seen. But the real interesting story revolves around the side quests, or Sub-Stories, that tell more interesting and compelling narratives than 99% of modern movies and TV coming out in the last 5 years. Heck, there are entire plot lines, characters, and game mechanics revolving around the minigames of Pocket Kart, Cabaret, and Real Estate that most companies would sell as DLC that is just included in that game. Also, the OST is one of my all-time favorites with some of my personal favorites being Trouble Shooting Star, Rocket Nuts Groove, Recieve You The Subtype, and Breaking Showcase. This game is well worth getting at full price, but the sales price of $5 is an absolute STEAL for a game like this. And everyone who I've recommended this game to absolutely loves it. Get it.

This is where it all begins...

I was pleasantly surprised by how the story unfolds in this game. This stood out to me because of how the combat system works and a semi open world hub city you can roam in. I love the nod to SEGA branded arcade stores that are placed in good spots around the hub city. There is quite a lot to do when you explore enough and I really like how it rewards you for doing sub-stories. I couldn't get enough of the mini-games, I will admit though, a few have a bit of quirky control schemes so they'll take a lot of practice to master. This is a solid 8/10, recommend to friends and people new to the Yakuza series.
