With the all-new Mission Mars campaign, you are assigned with catapulting Tropico into the future at the speed of light. Utilise different components to construct rockets that will keep you ahead of the international competition. But don’t forget, only by staying ahead in research will you win the infamous Space Race, walk on the moon and establish the first Mars colony of humankind. Mars does seem a good place for expansion – or to send your political opponents. Problem solving, the Tropican way....
But dangers and unforeseen events lurk in the vast expanses of space, and you'll need an urgent creative solution if you don't want to abort your mission . There is a new frontier ahead so be sure that in the end, it is you who can proclaim “The eagle has landed!” for Tropico.

9 new buildings shoot to the sky! Complete your assembly lines in the new Spaceport Complex and meet the increased energy demand with the Fusion Reactor and the Reclaimer. With the new vertical stacking mechanic, you can expand the Capsule Cluster, Agriculture Tower and Synthetic Food Lab to meet the needs of your subjects. You can also show the world how modern and entertaining Tropico is with the Hologram Funhouse.

This DLC is the most worth it to me, and a must-buy if you love the base game. The moon and Mars missions require a good understanding of the island economy and trade. The Mars colonies have satisfying benefits that make all of the work seem worthwhile. The faction boost location really opens up Utopia plays where you no longer have to worry about Conservatives complaining about social programs or Religious complaining about gay marriage or vaccines or whatever. It does sideline some of the game mechanics, but you have to be so advanced to pull the missions off that you're close to endgame, anyway. It's a nice send-off that you earn the ability to no longer have to worry as much about factions or cash or what-have-you. It really makes it feel like you've graduated from some colonial backwater to an advanced technological utopia, which is really satisfying.
