Description

In this Cyberpunk-inspired run'n'gun-roguelite the world is controlled by technocratic elites who seek digital immortality and transcend their human bodies and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. 



Fight through randomly generated levels in glorious 16bit-style retro pixel art and listen to an awesome dynamic soundtrack while you blast away robots using one of 60 weapons. Upgrade your character, find items, unlock allies that will help you and find the spirits of European heroes that will give you special powers. Now it is your turn to join the Great Rebellion! 

 

Immerse yourself in the dystopian Europe of the year 20XX, where the Lucis Lux Mega-Corporation owns everything and the people own nothing. You play the role of Human 10.28, a man who decides he had enough. He doesn't want to be a cog in the soul-destroying system anymore and takes up the fight against a seemingly all-powerful enemy!

A brand-new Good Ol' Game

It's been a while since I've seen such an enjoyable game. The visual style is a little unusual, like a 16-bit retro platformer, but still very colourful and satisfying, vapourware-like aesthetics. The soundtrack is dynamic, very cool and even atmospheric. In certain parts it's reminiscent of the golden age tracker music, in others it's glorious synthwave. The gameplay is demanding; you'll keep losing until you start playing seriously. The story itself is compelling and political enough to cause a stir in certain circles. Pay no attention to haters, son, they'll hate you anyway. This game has in it the stuff of which legends are made. It has got humour, it has got balls, it has got soul. You WILL own this game from GOG and you WILL be happy. Own it before they shut it down. It has a native Linux version too!

Finally a based game makes it to Gog

It's always nice to see an openly right-wing dev release a game. They frequently have to deal with mass censorship, threats, and deplatforming from leftists just for existing. Anyone who publicly stands up to such hatred deserves respect and support in my book. Regarding the game itself The Great Rebellion is an excellent addition to the rougelike genre with it's excellent art, solid soundtrack, hilarious bosses, and biting commentary on progressive politics. The controls feel great, especially mouse aiming. The only critique I have is that I wish there was more of it. Also you might want to make a backup of this game and put it someplace safe after purchasing. Something tells me GoG might de-list the game at some point given how woke they are these days. Heck Germany just banned it from the entire country lol!

very good game and based creators

Nice to see that the devs took the extra effort to develop the game for Linux as well. Great game and I am loving it so far. Finally, a studio with the balls to criticize how stupid the events that are happening today are. Also, Europa - The last battle is a great documentary and thanks to the publisher for supporting PJW ;)
