STORY
Humanity has been shattered and enslaved by Daemons invading from another realm. The Dark Current, a cataclysmic event caused by the Daemons’ emergence, has decimated the population and divided the land into separate regions, leaving the survivors to be subjugated by Daemonic overlords.
A thousand years have passed since that fateful event, and mankind will remain silent no longer.
To reclaim their homes and free their people, an unlikely fellowship of heroes will band together to spark a fiery revolution. They must form alliances with the remnants of the resistance throughout the world to make a united stand against the legions of Daemons. If they fail, humanity as they know it will remain forever stifled by the darkness…
KEY FEATURES
A Vivid World: From lava-covered wastes to snowy mountains, the numerous themed realms around the world offer their own unique experiences and challenges. Navigate each diverse environment by utilizing a variety of different vehicles, including ships, rideable beasts, and flying machines.
Forged in Battle: The ferocity and strife of combat can draw forth your inner reserves of power. Build up determination to enter a state of Ignition, which allows you to execute devastating critical attacks. Repeated use of weapons and Ignition attacks also has the chance to “awaken” a new skill for your characters mid-battle.
Stand Together: You cannot challenge the Daemons alone. Form alliances with Guilds and factions to mobilize the strength of warriors and scholars all across the land to confront terrifying foes. Allying with Guilds also grants you the ability to call upon them to aid you in battle, among many useful other perks. You're going to need every last bit of help you can get.
JRPG and SaGa fans - buy it.
Everyone else - wait for sale.

[Story]
Simple story - ragtag heroes are trying to free themselves from oppression while recruiting allies along the way. It doesn't convoluted.
The charm is the fun character dynamics. There are 12 characters in total, so you'll find someone you like.
[Gameplay]
It's got an overworld and you can swap party members freely once they're gathered. Streamlined with EXP share for anyone who dies in battle or are benched.
There's an open skill system where you're free to specialize in a selection of weapon combat. They can wield two different weapons. There's a lot of different combinations you can make.
In battle, you also assign roles and positions for your team. Roles award stat bonuses. Front/middle/back rows can award bonus damage to skills assigned by S/M/L. There's also a FF9 limit break system, but your weapon breaks after using it. Keep them after, can repair after allying with the blacksmith guild for free.
A few dialogue choices can result in recruiting NPCs or bonus equipment.
Unfortunately, money is the scarcest resource to come by, so be strategic. You're effectively forced to farm in this one spot to buy upgraded equipment. Luckily 2x and 4x battle speed makes it less painful.
And when you research new equipment, what grade you get is decided by infuriating RNG. Also, dungeon maps didn't show obstacles that you can't pass through.
[Graphics]
The graphics looked fine for 3D.
[Audio]
Music was great.
[PC Requirements]
Anything can run this game.

[Playtime]
30 hours for main story. +10 hours for extras. Subsequent NG+ modes are probably 4-8 hours if you fast forward and skip movies.
[Novelty]
After finishing the game, there's an NG EX mode and NG+ mode. Former is a NG+ without anything carrying over, but you start with 10k EXP. Both modes enable a secret ending and allows you to recruit max # people.
[Price]
JRPG and SaGa fans - buy it.
Everyone else - wait for sale.
...While Steam does.
I wouldn't be surprised if NIS America's entire catalogue would be at risk of getting removed, since they could think "GOG doesn't sell".
Regional pricing exists due to people in those regions often not being able pay the full price converted from USD, and NIS America threw away the regional pricing for most of their titles on GOG (and they also ignore anyone that asks them about it).
