Pinball Gold Pack

This pinball pack includes the 1995 game Pinball Illusions, which is a rare DOS pinball that offers high resolution 800x600. But you have to do some tweaks to make it work. And some of the tables have pretty complicated rules. You just have to google for the manuals yourself.

First I was shocked about the out of sync audio but after adjusting: dosboxPFD.conf, dosboxDREAMSD.conf and dosboxILLUSIONS.conf with: rate=48000 blocksize=256 prebuffer=32 audio becomes snappy and you can travel back into time. Thanks everyone for making this possible!

All you need to do is replace the dosbox.exe file from \DOSBOX and the dosboxPFD.conf (or the other games as well) -file(s) and you'll be playing these games in fullscreen. This collection has 20 tables from 5 games released by 21st Century divided in 3 packs: Pinball Dreams Deluxe (Pinball Dreams 1+2) Pinball Fantasies Deluxe (Pinball Fantasies + Pinball Mania) and Pinball Illusions. Pinball Dreams, Fantasies and Illusions were designed by DICE and are the absolute best, Pinball Dreams 2 and Pinball Mania were designed by Spidersoft and are not as good but still fun to play. GOG.com has made a great effort to make sure this is the best possible way to play these games, having updated the games after a few complaints about soundtrack, framerate and custom keymap; everything is now perfect. All the tables are fictional but contain nothing that would not be possible on a real pinball machine. Just remember that the original developers chose to offer high-res mode in a weird resolution that looks wrong on DOSbox and most screens, so make sure to play in lower resolution, the way it was designed to be played. The Pinball Illusions settings can be accessed in the installation folder instead of the game menu.
