But at what cost.
I am a long time Order Of Battle fan of average experience/ skill in strategy games. I hope that I can provide valuable feedback to the company as to their latest DLC which I was looking forward to and found it disappointing. As per the information Endseig or end-victory is the latest DLC for Order Of Battle. It adds a new campaign, new units and finishes off the seig series. I was a very big fan of Blitzkreig but certainly not of Panzerkreig and certainly not Endseig, So what did I not like about it? Like Panzerkreig you are 'winning' battles only to have the plot armor of the story throw you back into a historical position such as winning in Paris sees you retreat ect. in the later scenarios. Lots of defense only missions without much customization or tactics to use other then 'stop the large horde. (Yes I understand you are fighting the Soviet Union and fighting off an invasion but the Winter War DLC did this without feeling like such a chore.' Not really anything unique why there are new units its, the same sort of plot line story you have seen played out in so many ww2 games. and we don't see any real new terrain or unique innovations from the authors. Specializations are rather limited and boring and lack much of a strategic element There are quite a few bugs and spelling mistakes that should of easily been stamped out in a 'professional product.' Missions are drab and boring. The option to capture Moscow through a series of major victories is ridiculously hard and poorly done. So there you have it, loved a few of the little things but ultimately it's boring and feels like a mission pack from the internet rather then a paid expansion. I expected big things after Sandstorm but instead I just got bland stuff that is see it done it played it a million times, boring defense missions with little real variation. I hope the makers of this game can take this feedback into account and keep making great DLC like Sandstorm.
