A glowing review & Settings I recommend
I recommend using a controller and getting an S rank on each stage before moving on to the next one. It really made the game last and prepared me for the next stage. I played Lunistise with a gamecube controller via the 8bitdo gbros adapter. Settings I recommend: Keep Smooth Turning set to ON (It helps with platforming. I played a bit with it off and I was terrible) Player Shadow set to ON (Puts a shadow under you when midair so you know where you will fall) Vertical Camera 200% with Unlock Vertical Camera set to OFF CRT Filter ON and High-Res Mode OFF (My personal preference. It has a really good CRT Filter) I set Controller Deadzone to 5% and Sensitivity to 125% BUT what feels right will differ depending on the controller you use. I went into this game totally blind. I just saw it was a new game on gog and that it looked good based on the first 3 screenshots. I read the first paragraph of the description and then I bought it because it was only $5. And wow, I did not expect it to be so good. I don't normally write reviews but I really loved playing Lunistise. It's is a good 3D platformer. It can be little hard but it's good. Even when I was having trouble beating stage 4, I never got upset. Then it just clicked with me and I understood the stage gimmick. I think I will end up booting it up every once in a while just to replay some stages. Like stage 5, so good. I got both S ranks in each act at the same time in that stage. (Had to restart the level a few times to do that but it was fun.) On all the other stages I focused on collectables my first try and then replayed the stage to get the "Zero Resets" S rank. I really like how you don't have to do both on the same run for it to count. I hope you give it a try and enjoy it as much as I did.
