GreedFall - De Vespe Conspiracy

First up, this DLC is essentailly one quest chain. It took me about 3 hours to complete. When a DLC was announced, I was hoping it'd be something bigger, but with a price tag of $6.99, I knew it wouldn't be huge. It is well written, acted, and on par with the other main quest lines of Greedfall. I felt it added to the world's lore and fit nicely within the game. A new zone has been added and it is beautiful. There are also new wildlife to contend with and a whopping 2 new contracts to fulfill *hold me back ;-)* Also, your companions have interjections and a short converstation about the quest. I feel it's worth the price. I do take issue - without spoiling too much - there is a character this new plot involves, who I'd think would have some sort opinion about the situtation, but has nothing to say on the matter and appears to have no knowledge of it even happening! It was a let down. I thought maybe the VA couldn't make time, but it turns out this VA voiced a few minor NPCs on the DLC, so I guess it was a narrative choice. A stupid one, if you ask me. More Greedfall is a good thing and I hope there will be more DLCs or sequels. It's such a gem.

I deeply enjoyed the base game and I'm glad I bought this DLC. The DLC is consistent with the base game in terms of quality; companions and recurring NPCs have spoken lines and dialogues *do* acknowledge your reputation with factions and *do* acknowledge some of the major events of the base game - I immensely enjoyed this detail. The new area is gorgeous and offers brand new tracks, items and a unique wild creature type to fight. The quest involves exploring a new region and investigating the titular conspiracy. Some fights are optional and can be avoided, should you choose a more sneaky route. In the end I believe the price tag is appropriate considering all the resources involved, though the whole DLC can be played in just few hours - it took me roughly 3 hours, but I like to take my time exploring the whole new area and reading every note I find - some notes are worth reading as they add details on major NPCs and companions.

Title says it all: 7.- for roughly 1 hour of playtime with 1 new location is really too much! Lady De Vespe is gorgeous, I would have liked to have more options with this character, but it's straight forward thing, with the outcome clear in the first minutes.
