Mission: Stop the Virus Army’s Uprising!
In a post-apocalyptic world populated by sentient robots, its inhabitants are once more threatened by an old foe, the Virus Army. Defeated decades ago, it has re-emerged from the shadows with a unique goal, complete world domination. Severely weakened Guardian Corps are left with no other choice but to call upon a hero of the previous war: the lone operative, Kai, who harnesses the powers of the mysterious Gravity Circuit. As the world's last line of defense, journey through futuristic environments, and take down the evil mastermind behind this chaos.
Reminiscent of classic platformers from the 80s and 90s, with action dialed to maximum, channel your power into your fists and send foes flying, or grapple them to get up close and personal. In your quest you will acquire many new powers, which will allow you to go even further beyond!
Action packed platforming
By channeling your energy into devastating punches, perform satisfying combos and send foes flying, causing destruction and mayhem in the process!
Save the innocent, and power up!
Stages are packed with secrets and innocent civilians alike. Uncover and rescue them, and unlock new powers!
Single player campaign with 12 stages
Each with their unique set of mechanics, your platforming and combat skills will be tested against an armada of enemies and bosses!

A very polished platformer, everything about it just feels quality. It's the best platformer I have played in some time. Don't even hesitate if you're a fan of Mega Man and old school platformers in general. It's an absolute gem this one. Cheers to the devs for this.
This is overall a great game. Controls are tight and responsive, the music is stellar and mechanics allow you to be creative in fights allowing you to approach enemies from multiple points - going head on, striking from above, using enemies as weapons - you can do a lot,
though called a Mega Man clone it does have mechanics found in other games like the grappling hook in Bionic Commando which expands the game play quite a bit.
In the end it's a lot of fun and experimenting with the combat can lead to a lot of fun techniques.
Take Mega Man, Bionic Commando, and a bit of Streets of Rage, put'em in a blender and puree. The stage selection and abilities unlocked through defeating bosses from Mega Man. The use of a grappler from Bionic Commando. The differing melee attacks from Streets of Rage. And these features blend effortlessly in Gravity Circuit.
Upon completion, which is a bit short, there's New Game+ mode. There's also a Challenge Mode. I'd knock off a star for being short, but New Game+ saves it.
Played on Linux Mint 21.1 (vera) with an old Logitech F310 and GT 730 graphics nice and smooth.
Gravity Circuit is a short, but great combat platformer that is clearly a tribute to games like Mega Man, even down to the level selection screen. It's fun and has a fair challenge. It's not a cake-walk, but it's not impossible either. The difficulty curb really kicks up a notch at the last two levels.
Pros:
- Great gameplay
- Really good mechanics
- Good controls
- Solid platforming
- Banger sountrack
- Charming & cool artstyle
- Fair challenge
- Runs really well
- Fun boss fights
- Level selection is a nice touch
- New Game +, Speedrun, and Circuit Mode help add some replay value to the game
Cons (mostly nitpicks)
- Bosses and platforming can be annoying
- Game suffers from a slight frame rate dip at times
- Story could've been more interesting
Gravity Circuit is one of my favorite platformers (and games in general) of this year along with Pizza Tower and Super Mario Wonder. It's a great indie game too. Also, it's definitely worth the money. If Capcom isn't willing to make another Mega Man game, then some indie developers will.
First of all, this game is simply incredible. The graphics, the music, the responsive control, the attention to detail... everything is perfect. It's clear as soon as you play the game for the first time.
Be assured, however, that you'll be swearing a lot. The game is tough (but not "impossible"). In particular, the final levels and the last boss. So consider setting the game to easy if you're not a "pro" player. The difficult parts can be retried quickly, but frustration will set in after a while.
Personally, I consider it to be a "perfect" game. Congratulations to the developers! The only thing that leaves something to be desired is the story (no humans involved, story is a bit unclear). For fans of Mega Man and similar games, it's a must-have.
I finished the game in 20 hours.
