Good JRPG Idea Factory Style
Death & Request is a JRPG with an interesting story. The game combine visual novel parts with 3D cutscenes and exploration and fighting. The game can become repetitive because the exploration is quite basic. The fight is turn-based.In order to obtain new skills you need to make combos of the skills that you have at the beginning and also keep combining the new skills that you learn from basic skills combination. It's not that difficult to be honest once you get the hang of it.In term of character customization if you buy the dlc bundle you will have the best weapons in the game from the start and also 3 attire sets for the characters. The customizations of gear is composed by 4 slots(weapons, two rings, necklace). You have potions for health, mana, status remove potions and revive potions. The game is split in 11 chapters.I played the game on hard and finish twice it in 55 hours (Game,New Game+).You need to finish it twice in order to get al the achievements. I don't recommend paying the game on hard if you are a casual player because there is an strange mechanic. The harder the game difficulty is the lowest the amount of XP and funds gain and the more HP the enemies have. If all of the 3 characters that you have on the fight die is game over.Every character has an ultimate power that can be used when you fill the coruption metter. From a graphical perspective the game is ok, nothing wow but not bad from a fantasy style point of view.I played the game on an integrated graphic card (Ryzen 6900HX with Radeon 680M at full details in 60 FPS) so the game is not that demanding because i didn't need the discrete GPU.The characters are 100% Japanese manga design. I really recommend this game to al JRPG fans and to the ones that knows what to expect from an Idea Factory game. From my perspective the last few hours of the New Game plus became kind of tedious because the replayability is zero once you finished the game and i pushed on just to get the achievements.3.5/5 stars for me.
