Take on the role of Erica Reed, a Boston FBI agent with the power to see the past, as she follows the trail of four different serial killers, and a series of clues left for someone with her specific ability. Who’s leaving the clues? How do they know her secret, and what do they want from her?
Developed by a true “indie dream team”, the line-up includes comics artist Romano Molenaar (Batman, Witchblade, Tomb Raider, X-Men) as Art Director and renowned adventure game designer Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight, Gray Matter, and the upcoming Moebius) lending her expertise as Story Consultant.

The graphics are beautiful: crisp, colorful, and very sleek; the music noteworthy. Plot and settings are interesting: dark, gritty, and make you feel like a homicide detective. Contextual cursor is well designed, intuitive, and easy to use. The "Cognition" feature (where Erica can see ghostly traces of the past) gives the game depth. Puzzles are (mostly)read more fairly logical.
Voice acting is PSX worthy.
The game is full of immersion-breaking moments. The actual script is awful, and it's obvious that the devs didn't do much research regarding police work or crime scene investigation. A grizzled old vet like Erica's partner (John) would certainly know that "hypoxia" was a lack of oxygen; I know you need to tell the player what it means, but don't ruin my immersion to tell me. What FBI agent grabs evidence with her bare hands, and what forensics examiner would let her? What agent (not a spoiler; it occurs in the first few minutes), would pull a loaded weapon on her partner?
There are technical issues, too. Dialogue between characters plays on top of each other during cut scenes, they talk to each other's backs, and Erica sits behind her own chair, hanging in mid-air. At times, you'll have to talk to someone *immediately* after saying “goodbye” just to see another topic open up.
I'll keep playing (mainly because I'm out $20), but my advice is to wait for a sale. The style and plot gets 5 stars but the buggy performance and script drag it down.

Pros and Cons in a glance
1. Gripping and deeply emotional storyline that will make you keep playing to see what happens next.
2. Erica Reed is a strong female lead, some are cliche but well portrayed characters
3. Beautiful artwork that sets the mood right, comic book style graphics and cutscenes.
4. Noteworthy soundtrack with some being very good tracks. Awesome endread more credits music!
5. Different playstyle in each episode
1. Game can get really sluggish, some actions take too long to perform.
2. Movement glitches like Erica walking mid air or facing the wrong direction in dialogs
3. The game doesn't feel like it's following police procedure/ doesn't feel police-like at times.
The game has a gripping and deeply emotional storyline. Each episode in the series has a different style and pace from the previous ones and the story keeps getting better with each episode.
Episode 1 might be a bit slow but the story real picks up from episode 2 and after.
The artwork is fantastic! I love the style of the art and the dialog font! The whole game gives you an eerie feeling and sets the mood right.
Though the game is not a masterpiece if you lay down and score it individually, it just made me love it madly. It's something i can't quite express like love at first sight.
if you can get past it's flaws and focus on it's good points you will find a game that you will love or at the very least have a good time

This game clearly had potential. An interesting idea which gives the game further depth, a good story that keeps the player interested. The controls are easy to grasp and the puzzels are easy to understand, but can be challenging none the less.
What makes the game only mediocre is the realisation. There are some bugs. That wouldn't be a problem, if they weren't so obvious. Laggingread more sound, Erica getting stuck sometimes and cut off or overlapping dialogue. One those would be acceptable, all together they make the game frustrating and sometimes even break it (e.g. when Erica gets stuck behind walls and can't move anymore). This game teaches you to save as often as you can, if you didn't already do it.
The other thing is the immersion. The story is good, no doubt about that. But the way it is presented reminds me of a badly written whodunnit without any background knowledge about police work. Investigators in their everyday clothes and shoes run around a crime scene, putting their own fingerprints everywhere and destroying evidence!
On the other hand, the game is simply beautiful. The cutscenes made up of hand drawn pictures (just like the backgrounds) by a talented artist. The soundtrack, though obviously completely computer generated catches the mood perfectly, aside from a few times. It all fits. The voice actors do not sound like professionals, but they're still doing a great job.
