Blue Wednesday

Finished this over the course of a week, logging 10 hours total...couldn’t stomach it for more than an hour or two at a time...and that was 100%ing it, even though Achievements aren’t applied in the GOG release. I DO love jazz music, and going “out-on-the-town” in the evening, so what’s the problem? The only other reviewer here (as of yet) amongst all their complaints, forgot to mention one thing: Even if you've got the "game" running properly, THE “GAME” ISN’T FUN TO PLAY. Auto-saving ONLY, NO manual-saving, ONLY ONE SAVE SLOT, never can tell when the game saves, couldn’t always pick up where I left off when continuing; sometimes it set me back a short ways, sometimes set me back A LOT, compounding the amount of time I SANK into this thing just to finish it. Evans City isn’t a big place to walk around...but the slow walking pace makes it a SLOG, a DRUDGERY to get around...THERE IS NO RUN BUTTON. ...and if you take the bus to fast travel from one end of the city to the other, it passes you by all the side characters to talk to, and you’ll end up skipping their character side stories as well... ...but who cares, their stories aren’t even interesting, and ALL of the game’s dialogue comes off so stilted and wooden - like it was written by AI, or poorly translated from another language, even if it wasn’t - that it was impossible to get emotionally invested in ANY of the characters. The story’s about a 20-something who has a passion for playing jazz piano, is stuck working minimum wage at a supermarket, and eventually gets a gig playing at a local jazz club. The MC would be relatable, but comes off WAY TOO MUCH as a manic-depressive, bipolar, fake-anxiety-disorder lazy Zillenial WHINER for me to be sympathetic. Would've REFUNDED it if I'd gotten around to playing it sooner... Don’t let the jazz music lure you in...after flipping through the soundtrack (which I bought with the game), most of it’s been pretty forgettable, and the track lengths are TOO SHORT.

Irregular resolution for a "2023" game?? Totally NOT support a option 1080p for a "WINDOWS 11" system??????? NO REMAP and NO MOUSE and KEYBOARD Basic-Control Compatible, even it doesn't the "e" garbage, but no way to use space and click to advance dialogs or doing other operations. No remap for hit control, a copycat of the RESPECT V but not copy its pros, why I can't use asdf as the control of LoL?? No vector image, the whole game's picture are low quality BITMAP pictures, even in those simplest color and shapes. Anti-alias DOES "NOT" anti the aliases caused by LOW RESOLUTION PICS. Not worth this price, unless it has -80% discount. I'm holding game for update. Review for (1.0 released 2023-11-20) at 21 Mar 2024, check builds or don't buy this!
