A quirky and funny puzzle

When I started the game and I was introduced to the character's movement system, I soon thought "wow, this isn't going to work, it's really bad", but luckily I was wrong. Biped is a puzzle game, the mechanics of which comes from a robot with two feet that need to be manipulated by means of the control's analog levers (I don't know what it's like on the keyboard because I haven't tested it). It is necessary for the player to press one lever at a time so that the adorable robot can move, since each of the levers represents one of the character's feet. This is very strange at first, because in addition to looking confused, there is a feeling of lack of control, of difficulty, but it is temporary. In a few minutes it is already possible to adapt and realize the magic behind this peculiarity. It is a relatively short game, but with beautiful scenarios and very intelligent and fun puzzles. Hence another important point: it is not a boring game. I usually have a problem with puzzle games as they, at some point, start to become massive, repetitive and time consuming, but Biped manages to balance these issues with extreme efficiency, through a delicious and cohesive level design. The focus, however, is multiplayer, be it local or online (unfortunately I was not successful in using online mode). It was and is being very funny to play with my boyfriend. As the mechanics of manipulating the robot are very peculiar, the number of errors and comic episodes for solving the puzzles ends up being a reason for a lot of laughter. In that sense, it is somewhat reminiscent of the also friendly "Snipperclips", a cooperative puzzle from Nintendo for the Switch. It is a game that I strongly recommend, but it becomes much more attractive if you have other people to play with you. The price is right, due to the relatively short duration, and it will hardly disappoint you.

Very cute, aimed at local coop

Very cute game, perfect to play with your partner! No worries if you only have one controller, it's totally playable with the mouse too :) Challenges are easy enough, but will require some teamwork, and that is what makes it fun. Along the way you can collect coins which let you buy cute/funny outfits for your robots, so you have that as a reward for trying to complete the levels as best as you can. Singleplayer is probably ok too, but coop takes it to the next level!

Great Couch Coop Experience

Played this game with my wife all the way through (we haven't yet played the subsequent iteration of each level have completing them). I thought this game was greatness from the get go, my wife too a little longer to warm up to it. This game is meant to be played in couch coop with dual analog game controllers (each analog stick controlling one leg of your robot). If this is your setup, this game will be pure gold. Otherwise, I'm less certain. This game oozes subtle cleverness right from the moment you start wrapping your head around the weird way you control your bot by controlling each leg separately (which I thought was a lot of fun and left me wondering why no game I played did that before). The separate movement of the legs and synchronization with your partner are the core mechanics for practically all of the game's puzzles and they do a great job of exploring that theme in depth with a lot of interesting and downright clever variations. And yes, the game really is about going through a mostly linear level solving a series of puzzles to get to the end. Many puzzle will require you think a little, but you're unlikely to get a head ache out of it (I think the longest we had to think about it was still less than 5 minutes). Once you've visualized out how to solve a puzzle, the next more challenging part is the execution where you need to synchronize both your bots and also both legs of each bot in an intricate often time sensitive way. I thought it was great, but if you're hopeless in that kind of thing, the game might not be for you. Overall, great quirky novel (as far as I'm concerned) mechanics that may have gotten old quick in less able hands, but that is handled absolutely brilliantly here with a countless stream of stimulating original puzzle capitalizing on the game's quirky mechanics. It is a must play if you have a partner, friend or family member that you want to play a cooperative game with.

China data servers

This game upon downloading smacks you with a EULA/t&c and a Privacy Policy, which is interesting, but things get spicy when you read them. The t&c has the usual things, arbitration (that does indeed say one can opt out of within 30 days by sending an email), one legal copy, something about a game account (that frankly I did not see), and "whatever you submit to them can be used by them legally" if the game had an online option (which I don't know if that's true or not) But the alarm bells start ringing with the Privacy Policy. In it, it mentions multiple times that the privacy servers are based in China, which, if you know anything about China, is not a good look, as the CCP has historically encouraged dishonest businessmen and will likely take data about you playing the game, and raises questions as to whether this sends other, more sensitive data to the CCP, which is a shame because both games were games I was really looking forward to play. You don't have to take my word for it, but please be cautious.

Yes!

Great Game, takes about 5 minutes to get into the controlls and your hooked. I only played through it single player, but couch co-op is definately what it was made for. This is the kind of new thinking that is needed now-a-days. So much of one game is seen in another, Biped is truely in it's own. I recomend it for everyone of all ages.
