Uniquely Interesting, but Lacks Depth
The game offers a somewhat intriguing story involving time loops explored through the unique perspective of someone who listens to various stations and has the ability to forwards snippets of what he/she listens to on one station to other stations, influencing the story (which seems improbable given the premise, but it is explained later in the story). On the bright side, the extremely limited visuals there are (you see it on the screen shots, it is really an auditory game) are well done and so are the radio stations (there are about an handful per section and fewer than 10 total I think). A particular highlight for me was Ennis B who I thought was funny (not Grand Theft Auto car radio funny, but pretty funny). The voice acting was good too. The premise is unique enough that it is worth exploring, assuming you don't mind listening to various station hosts for a couple of minutes on end before the time loop resets. There was a confusing bit for me on section 4, but otherwise most of the rest of the content to forward was straightforward enough to figure out. However, I think the storyline mechanics tied to the forwarding of things are a little simplistic and lack depth. First of all, as far as I could tell, you can't really make a mistake and experience a drawback from forwarding the wrong thing to the wrong host or experience a branching storyline (you have a big choice to make at the very end, but you won't really get to see the impact of it) or optional side stories for that matter. I didn't count, but I think you have around 10 things to forward in the entire game and the game lasts around 3 hours I believe. I think given the content, the full asking price might be a bit steep, but at a discount, I think the game is worth experiencing for its uniqueness. It won't take a lot of your time. I do hope they take another stab at it in a future game and go deeper with the storytelling. I think there is a lot of unexplored potential here.
