It was on sale here at GOG, so why not. The demo was fun! Excellent graphics, gameplay. It's a cute puzzler, reminded me a bit of Inside and others but less challenging and more fun. I may decide to give it a five later, after I play it all the way through. Well worth it at the sale price. I'll say no more. Play the free demo and see if you like it.
The game is really sweet and with a recent difficulty level. But the controls are a bit wonky and you can't remap the "restart level" button, which is right next to a button that you need to smash at times.
There's also some minor bugs.
What’s the deal with the plot? Where are you going, what are you doing, what’re you trying to accomplish? Why do you play as little paper creatures? What’s the connection with rocket science and space travel? Why’s the music so sad? There’s some sort of underlying tragedy here, but what was it? WE GET NO EXPLANATION! There’s clearly supposed to be some sort of plot here, but we’re not let in on what it was!
Been awhile since a game made me feel this empty and unfulfilled; usually, I like short games, but this’s SO short, it makes me wonder why they even bothered; trying to fulfill an obligation they got themselves backed into, maybe? It smacks of something they almost didn’t even feel like making...
I was basically on auto-pilot during the entire runtime of this game.
I was even able to get a number of Achievements without even consciously searching for them...that’s how predictable the game is.
This game can LITERALLY be finished in the space of about 1-2 hours, proven by a number of Let’s Plays that show exactly that (and that’s WITHOUT speed running it!) and they have GALL to charge $20 for this? Get outta here with that ****!
The platforming and puzzles are so simple and easy (if not brain dead), they’re not even fun...
There’s not much enemy variety, either; there is one scenario in which you’re running from a giant spider, otherwise, the only other enemies in the game are Roombas. Kudos to them for figuring out how to make Roombas seem threatening, at least…
Maybe the atmosphere of the game was actually kind of relaxing, or mysterious, or sorrowful at times, but at the end, you can only ask “What did it mean? What was the point?” and you just don’t get an answer. It just ends rather abruptly...
There's just so little to say about this game, I'm not even using up the entire word count...
Whatever…I'll give it Two Stars just for the Threatening Roombas, otherwise, just another game to toss on the “Finished” pile to forget about...
