hesitant to give it 3 stars but
Firstly: The atmoshere and storyline are exelent! Very weigthed and serious. Reminds me of a lite edition of "Kingdom Come Deliverence" as the characters are similar in attitude. the voice actors are some of the trade overs from that game, Even one of the protagonists is portrayed by Henry's father and it's obvious This game takes place a couple decades after KKD but I often like to pretend he is Henry's father when that man was young and fighitng. as in the Prodlogue of KKD he gave us a pretty good hint we was a good fighter. Here you are two characters, both significant and on opposing sides of the same coin. The beginning character is a gruff seasoned man of God who is a vindicator of heritics and ruthless. His rather colourful eastern europe expressions(Swearing) is a nice touch and does not detract from the period atmosphere. The other a sort of paladin of tier type pios, noble and a bit more tactful. They both fight with the same attributes and hitpoints, energyh levels and slightly differnet equipment. But that is where the game gets a bit messed up. wanted to give it 5 however, the combat is undoable as the camera "viewpoint" is too high and the wonky controls make it difficult to get a baring on your own character. And if he is chaotically dog piled with his fellow platoon and swarmed in by a dozen or so enemies at least give us zoom capabilities! the "Wheel" mouse perspective is a bit odd. Not natural at all. You "turn" your player perspetive way to much considering all the chaos on a given battlefiled. It is difficult to get a beat on your opponent if it is raining dark, and your play character is under a tree! For example! I hope the devs are mature enough to listen to us fans and fix some of this control and perspective nonsense.
