timppu: I agree too, but now that some are complaining of GOG versions missing "Galaxy-features" (like achievements, possibly cloud saves...)... should such games be added to the list too? E.g. the Steam version has achievements while the GOG (Galaxy) version doesn't?

I personally say no, but someone who cares for Galaxy features might feel differently. Not quite black and white.
I would also say no and I'd prefer if someone else would create a separate mix that includes games that are missing such “features”.

Keep an eye on Advent Rising, which is getting new compatibility patches, a soundtrack, and downloadable comics on Steam:

I agree that this should probably be a separate list, though I've got a different issue. My issue is that there's a huge crop of games that were released before Galaxy got those features, and it's not really their fault that they didn't support features that didn't exist. Would make the list way too long, too.

Now, if those games have been updated (here or elsewhere) since the release of those features in Galaxy, that's a different matter.

True to Paradox's traditions, Surviving Mars has no upgrade path, either for the Deluxe Pack or even worse, for the game's Season Pass. Be a First Colonist or get the fuck out, pleb!

Frozen Synapse has been brought to my attention: GOG version is v34, which is outdated. There is v35 on Steam (since Jan '18). Not quite 6 months yet.

Also, something I noticed when I checked the update history on Steam: the Steam version has the option to buy a soundtrack, which the gog version doesn't seem to have. The Red DLC on gog does include a soundtrack. I'm a little confused. Anyone familiar with this game/the soundtrack/the DLC want to chime in?

Space Rogue

Missing patch 1.11 - it's more than a year out of date

It's also only 9.99 on Steam yet 19.99 here. The price was permanently cut on Steam a while back.
...forget it.

Odallus : The Dark Call
On Steam - version 1.1.3 [updated on 8th march]
The newspost reads

We just updated Odallus to version 1.1.3, which fixes some smaller bugs but more importantly, makes all skins free.

No more DLC skins, now everybody can play as Vampire Hunter, Royal Knight, and Red Gargoyle!
On GOG - version 1.1.1 [updated on 9 August 2016]

related thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/odallus_the_dark_call/does_odallus_gog_version_include_steamreleased_dlcs/page1

According to the post no. 8 on this thread the devs had apparently sent the dlc files to GOG, but somehow they didn't make it into the installer.

EDIT on 28th March, 2018 : The GOG version has been updated to 1.1.3
The DLC skins are now available.

Paradox is my new favourite company in here! What other company do you know that actively discourages impulse purchases and instead incentivises you to wait for the obligatory Definitive Edition one or two years down the road? It'll include everything you'd miss out on and it'll be half the price! Meanwhile you'll have plenty of time to work on that backlog you've accumulated in the past few years.

What's not to love?

Added Surviving Mars, Odallus (which ironically was discussed before in this thread, back when the DLC still came with a pricetag - but 2 years out of date?) and Space Rogue.

Chroma Squad's episode editor was released one month ago.

Make a wild guess as to which store didn't get it.

Please get on this gog, this is the only reason I haven't grabbed Odallus on gog.

And FFS, please contact Capcom about the missing Dragon's Dogma patches. I'm about the request a refund on that game.

Seems like Ash of Gods: Redemption is regionally-locked in China:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_ash_of_gods_redemption_ab1aa/post51

But not on Steam, if the database is anything to go by:

Can confirm. Region locked on gog, not on Steam.

Adding Ash of Gods: Redemption and Chroma Squad.

Hand of Fate 1 is still missing the last update Steam got containing a workaround for a Unity Launch bug apparently.

The Way is still not updated to the latest version either. Missing the last 2 Steam updates 1.07 and 1.07b. Posted on the Steam forum post from the dev asking about the GOG version. No reply.

Blackhole is still out of date. Devs said they're working on it after a few of us complained. That was back in January. They started posting on the GOG forums too. Made a thread asking about the update. No reply.

99 Levels to Hell on GOG is out of date as well. The Steam version of the game is version 2.0. The GOG version is still version 1.0. Asked on the Steam forums. No reply from the dev.
