Bring a rainbow to a gunfight

Enter the Gungeon, the chaotic bulletfest echoing inside a procedurally-generated dungeon, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com for Windows, Mac, and Linux with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and a 10% launch discount.

Dungeons are the perfect go-to places if you are looking for heaps of unclaimed loot, sun-starved monstrosities, inventive traps, and disgruntled bosses (don't judge, their size requires them to remain constantly crouched). It's better not to think about the process that leads to the gross overpopulation of these mouldy, funky-smelling halls, so why not focus on the means of clearing them up instead? Because make no mistake: you will need your most ridiculously overpowered gear before you decide to Enter the Gungeon.

Pick your champion from a bunch of anti-heroes, all bent on erasing their shady past with the help of the legendary weapon hidden in the depths of the Gungeon. Then tumble, loot, roll, and dodge your way through its unforgiving halls which will shift constantly and even adapt to your effectiveness. Did these insolent Gundead manage to get you cornered? Turn that corner and find a new weapon of flashy destruction, then unleash a torrent of missiles, bombs, lasers, rainbows, fish, darts, or even bees upon the unsuspecting hordes. Still feeling overwhelmed? Weaponize the awesome power of friendship and Enter the Gungeon in co-op mode. Who knows, your pals might have their own past sins to delete.

Enter the Gungeon and fill it with the colorful explosions of awesome gunfighting, DRM-free on GOG.com. Want to enter even better prepared? Then upgrade to the Collector's Edition to get a digital comic book, the game's OST (also in FLAC), and an extremely cynical gun.
The 10% discount will last until April 12 5:59 AM PDT / 8:59 AM EDT / 13:59 BST.

Azhdar: Difficult game or balanced difficulty?

NuffCatnip: I´d say it´s a difficult game, even one of the first floor bosses is pretty bullet hell-ish.
You really have to remember the booses patterns or you´ll die.
I´ve only played with KB+M so far, but apparently the game is pretty easy with a controller (some mentioned auto-aim is activated when playing with a gamepad).
I play with a game pad and there is no auto aim that I can see.

Marioface5: So far I'm having a ton of fun with this. Just like with Nuclear Throne, the focus here is on skill rather than luck. That focus is also why I hate seeing comparisons to The Binding of Isaac, since in that game (from what I played of it) luck is in many ways the most important factor. In Isaac, bad luck can doom you and good luck can practically hand you victory. I would instead say that Enter the Gungeon is like Nuclear Throne combined with Crypt of the Necrodancer, since in all three games the random elements are more about changing how you play and adding variety, with success being dependent on player skill rather than RNG. And of course there are other games that parts of Gungeon remind me of, but those are the main two I would compare it to.

As for the game's difficulty, I think it provides a good challenge without being frustrating. So far I've reached the third chamber's boss three times if I'm remembering correctly. While I haven't managed to get to the fourth chamber yet, so far I've never felt like the game is overly difficult or unfair.

If anyone has any specific questions about the game, I'll be happy to answer them as best I can.

NuffCatnip: Which third floor boss did you die on?
The friggin tank crushed me everytime so far. xD

NuffCatnip: Maybe you have to activate it? I dunno. :)
I just skimmed through the Steam forums and Reddit and a couple users mentioned auto-aim makes the game very easy.

But if it´s not activated I might give it a shot playing with a controller. My left pinky finger cramps up after a while of playing with the keyboard. xD
I don't know, I never activated anything. All I know is I have to manually aim at things and I can tell where I am aiming by looking at the character's gun. With that in mind, I certainly don't see it swiveling on its own or anything of the sort.
