== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Thanks! I am very grateful!
Anyone could help me? Or explain what to do?

Unfortunately I was forced to use this Galaxy thing (I would write what I think about it, but I could get banned), because after moving to new computer with Windows 10 the excellent GOG Downloader wouldn't install at all.

Anyway, right now I encounter weird download behaviour. For a few seconds it's going well (as it should), and then it stops for 5-10 seconds. Then it throttle again, and then stops. And it goes like this during the whole download process. Is it Galaxy problem, or is it my ISP fault?

edit: when I download through gog website it's the same speed all the time, so it's definitely Galaxy.

Could you please follow instructions at the top of this topic (bug reporting) and describe what do you mean when you write "it stops for 5-10 seconds". Is it download speed dropping, download progress stopping, or both? Also, please include which games you tried to download and whether it was backup installer download, or installation. :)

P.S. I'm sure you wouldn't get banned. :)

Other than Johny.'s suggestion, I would suggest that you drop the concurrent connections from the default (6 I think?) to 1, and see if the same behavior remains. It is possible that either your line or HDD gets overwhelmed, which should be fixed by lowering the concurrent connections.
And what error message do you get when attempting to install the downloader? I haven't used it in ages, but it should still be able to install just fine.
I just need two more features and Galaxy will fit my needs perfectly. Glad it's gotten to this point. :)

1. A profile system to share owned games, achievements, and to leave comments, etc. with other players.
2. A setting to set a specific time when Galaxy can download/update games and when it needs to stop. I want to be able to queue all the games I want to install before bed and have Galaxy pause those downloads and any pending updates until that set specific time kicks in. For example, start downloading at 3 AM and stop at 8 AM (if not finished).

Hope to see at-least one of these features in 1.3... if not both.

Whereby "share owned games" you mean "show my friends what games I own" rather than "actually share my games with everyone"? :)

I would like #2 also, but with the caveat that it has an option to not be based on wall clock time alone, but that it monitors my biological activity to determine when I am sleeping or awake and then updates my games when it confirms biological sleep. While some might laugh at the notion, there will come a day in the future where we all take this feature forgranted. It may require wearable computing devices perhaps with sensors in them, but it is coming. Why wait for Steam and others to do it and play catch up when you can talk to wearable computing devices now and be the first! :)
Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I'm using the 1.2.5 beta and was wondering where screenshots were saved?

No progress. It shows 2,5 mbps but for 5-10 seconds there is no progress. I tried to download far cry several times and defenders quest. Backup. I refuse to use Galaxy to install games.

Did what you suggest in the first place, didn't help. And when I download directly through web browser, there's no problem.

With downloader, when I tried to install it on a new hardware, it asked me to install some other software from Microsoft (I think it was .Net framework) but not the current version. I tried, and it wasn't possible, because it detected the newer version that was previously installed. I didnt care much to solve it, because I decided I can go with Galaxy to download backups.

As we’re preparing for the public launch of GOG Galaxy 1.2 we need to perform maintenance work on the GOG Galaxy Cloud Saves backend. The servers will go down on Wednesday, April 19th early morning GMT and will remain offline for the rest of the day. You will still have access to your local copy of your save files, and any new files will be synced to the cloud automatically once the maintenance is done. During the maintenance GOG Galaxy app may report failure while syncing the cloud saves.

Thanks Venom, I posted this on /r/gog via Reddit so more people are aware.
So that is it? Public release and not a word on the thing that several people complained a lot about here in the thread alone: will we get the possibility to assign a different destination folder for backups and extras like it was in the pre release version? I could rephrase the question: why taking something away at all that was working without problems?
