MaxFulvus: According to a tweet from @THQNordic : "We are beyond proud to announce that THQ Nordic has acquired the "Kingdoms of Amalur" IP, among other assets, from 38 Studios."

So a GOG release is possible.

That would be great, especially with all DLCs.
The TimeSplitters IP, the Kingdoms of Amalur IP, THQ Nordic really is on a roll. :D
If this continues THQ Nordic will be acquired too .

Consider me clueless, but what does having the original source code do to the enhanced edition?

I guess it allowed Nightdive to let users take advantage of modern hardware for the game? I don't know the technical details tbh, but here's a tweet presumably about the new source port - https://twitter.com/DarkBlueMonkey/status/1037874892681764864

"Look at it! System Shock running with DirectX acceleration at 2560x1440 with MSAA"

Interestingly, THQ Nordic has moved some games here from them as publisher to their subsidiary HandyGames like one does e.g. if one wants to sell a business part. But likely just more about being "organized" and "structured".
There are new companies in the catalog i think

One entry is for MoaCube, for Cinders and Solstice, and 2 are for Handy Games and Handy Games + Black Forest for Jagged Alliance Rage

Not quite. As The-Business mentioned above, a bunch of THQ Nordic games (like Giana Sisters) are now published under the Handy Games label. Jagged Alliance Rage is developed by Cliffhanger Productions, which doesn't have an entry in the catalog as of yet.
