Fallout is one of my favourite video game IPs and the free Fallout trilogy giveaway is what brought me to GOG 10 years ago.

trusteft: When are you going to fix the store for the site's sales?

Not all of us use or want to use the client.

Never will.
They really do need to go and fix it already. It's been a week.

In the mean time, you can use https://embed.gog.com/games as a workaround. You may need to perform a hard refresh with CTRL+F5.

OK very nice, now fix your damn website as you broke it for those of us who use firefox days ago!

Currently we don't get the filter to remove the games we already own which makes it very difficult. What ever you last changed with your site.... undo it to fix the problem and next time test your updates on 'all' current browsers before making it live!
It's always a good time for some Uranium Fever. ;)

Played all of the mainline games and Fallout 3 is still my favorite of the franchise, warts and all. Fight me! =P

Which was really more a big middle finger from Interplay to Bethesda before they lost the license.

Dohi64: you've been here for 10 years and expect them to fix anything after a week? or in many cases ever? but as I keep saying, at least they're very good (and by now only good) at breaking more and more things on a regular basis. wonder what they have in store for this week.
Well in the case of stunted drop down profile counters (For games, movies, wish lists, etc), they simply hid the counters instead of fixing them lol.

Hopefully this won't be the case with filters. Trying to navigate the store is really frustrating now.

And it was glorious! Bethesda copies have no goodies either. Interplay ones do.

Well Fallout 3 is a good game and certainly better than 4. It was also my very first fallout game. I loved it so much that I needed more ASAP. The only way was to go backwards, so I went back and played 1&2. I loved both of them too, especially Fallout 1.
Then New Vegas came out and I realised that it was the true Fallout 3 story-wise. Bethesda's games are the spin-offs lol. New Vegas is now my favourite.

I'd probably rank them like so:
1) Fallout: New Vegas
2) Fallout
3) Fallout 3
4) Fallout 2
5) Fallout 4
6) Fallout: Tactics
7) Fallout 76
8) Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel

Also, although I rank New Vegas as #1, I think Fallout 1 and Fallout 3 serve as better entry points into the franchise for newcomers who've never played any Fallout game.

Interplay didn't lose anything. They sold it.

Cause of USA - China tensions, if memory serves me right?
How is fallout tactics?

Low Standards: How is fallout tactics?
If you like tactical turn-based RPGs, it is an excellent one, but don't expect it to be similar to other Fallout games. It's a linear game focused on tactical combat, not a full-blown RPG focused on world exploration.

Thanks, worth the price then.

Can a meaningful comparison be made between Fallout Tactics and a game like Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem?

Only that they are tactical squad based turn based games.

Maps and missions in Fallout Tactics are much bigger and longer.
The interface is the one in Fallout 2 basically with additions. A different design and idea behind.
Your party is smaller in the vein of Baldur's Gate games and the game was also intended to have an option to play the game in real time. In fact, a lot of parts have that idea in mind, because of how the UI is designed, for example, ambushes, explained in the ingame tutorials.

Also the narrative between mission and inside missions have nothing to do with FF or FE.

Not mentioning that the characters evolution is basically Fallout or a traditional Western CRPG. Nothing about FF jobs or the weapons triangle in FE

It is Fallout 2 fine tuned to be a pure tactical party based game

Any word on if GOG will be getting the reported next gen update for Fallout 4?
FALLOUT 4 IS GOING NEXT-GEN

Prepare for the future: A next-gen update is coming to Fallout 4! Coming in 2023, this free update will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC systems, including performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution gameplay, bug fixes and even bonus Creation Club content!
I see that the world is desperately trying to catch up to the Fallout universe. Damn near everything is on fire these days and I'm sure these shelters aren't far ahead anymore. /jk

Anyway, I've never really gotten into this series, but always had an eye on it. Tried multiple times wth multiple different Fallouts as my starting point. I think the third entry is where I got the farthest, but have never played New Vegas which was everyone's favorite.

Got them all in my library already. Now it's just a matter of actually getting around to starting to play some of them again.
