But the change will probably only temporary :)
I try changing my avatar sometimes too but I always struggle to get used to it myself as well. And it makes Moon upset. :P

FearfulSymmetry: Yes, I read about your basement flooding! That seems even worse than what we had, because at least we don't have any water damage. And yep, the tooth problem was particularly annoying with chewing things, so hopefully that will disappear now. :) Thank you, and I hope you have a good night as well! And that I'll see you tomorrow. :) Oh, the chemical industry sounds interesting, did you have a good time there? And don't worry, I won't tell. :)

*super tight hug*
It was not that bad, thanksfully...
No big damage... only a lot of old (more or less useless) stuff to throw away, and all the contennt of our freezer spoiled :-\ ... but all the electric devices still worked. Our neighbor had to replace his hot water tank...
Yes it was pretty interesting... seen a lot of production lines and stuff... :) I love visiting sites...
Hehe thanks ;-D
Read you tomorrow, Fearful ! Goodnight !!

Luckily it wasn't that bad! Still, those things are never fun, and they always cause a lot of worry.
It sounds pretty awesome! I haven't been to many factories myself so I don't have much experience.
I don't have a blog or anything like that but I can attach some pictures! Unfortunately the pattern on the scarf isn't very visible because it's dark and the lighting is bad, but no matter. :P I've also attached a picture of some embroidery - I used that as the front of a pillow.

EDIT: Oh, a doll is awesome! I'm trying to crochet animals right now but it's still a bit hard for me. I'm a visual learner when it comes to crocheting and reading patterns is difficult. :P

Just bumping my question(s) about BattleTech/MechWarrior-ish games, since it looks like it's been an active day so far. :)

avatar
penumbren: Thanks much for the suggestions! Terra Nova struck the husband's fancy a bit - we'll take a look tomorrow and see for sure. The Xbox suggestion(s) are appreciated, but not only do we not own any generation of them, I refuse to give them any money. They got two controllers' worth out of me for PC games, but that's my limit. We're a generation behind on Sony and Nintendo, too, although a PS4 may end up in our household by early next year.

penumbren: Follow-up to my earlier question about BattleTech/MechWarrior-ish games: Any recommendations for newer games that are similar to The Crescent Hawks' Revenge?

That's a specific request, as it's an old favorite of his. We have some of the RTS/TBS games from GOG, although neither of us has really played much of them so far. (He's picky, and I have short-attention-span/easily-bored issues with games of this type. I beat... Warcraft. A long, long, looooong time ago. And maybe WC II. I've played lots of others.)
Good afternoon/evening, everyone.

Hopefully you're all having a decent enough day.

Hello Crow - doing good here. What about you? Still working on One Finger Death Punch?

Can't complain here. Watching some videos, staying out of the sun.

Actually finished that off last night. All that effort, and it ends with a rap song about how critics are mean to the developers.
It was pretty frigging bad.
Now understanding on multiple levels why so few people ever beat that mode of the game, between the repetitive gameplay, the padding of having a few hundred enemies on every level, the total lack of story to generate any kind of interest and a ridiculous joke of an ending.

Good to hear - that reminds me to replay some Race the Sun - although i'm not very good at it :)

That's good. That you beat it - not that rap song of course :)
But chapeau - i'll raise my hat to you that you actually finish even those bad games. I don't know many people who'd do that.
This is going to date me as old but I was just cleaning and ran across two demo discs from pc gamer one from 98 the other from 99 both "cover games" are available on GOG any guesses? (No prizes just so random I had to share)
