Victor Vran fits that description quite well :) Also, if you have an Xbox 360 gamepad, the combat becomes a bit easier since you have all your necessary buttons in one place :)

ChaunceyK: I've tried real-time with pause (Icewind Dale). I gave it a fair chance, spent a few hours with it...just wasn't working out for me. But interestingly enough, the first two Witchers were what I was thinking of trying while they're on sale.

Still, I'd like to hear about any other games here on GOG that might fit my description.
Sacred is pretty good and all you need to do is just click on things and they die :)

Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition has pretty easy combat, an interesting story, and narration by Tom Baker in certain places :)
