What's cool about it:

  • Top-notch story, memorable characters, hilarious jokes, enjoyable combat, and more - this game has everything an adventure game should have.
  • Great music, created by Philippe Vachey, beautifully enhances the already enchanting atmosphere.
  • The gameplay has been greatly improved when compared to its predecessor, e.g. you can save whenever you want.

Overview:

Twinsen, the plucky hero of Relentless, returns to face his greatest challenge ever. When strange aliens arrive from a neighboring planet and begin kidnapping magicians and children, Twinsen uncovers a diabolical plot to obliterate his homeworld. In an epic adventure that will propel him across the galaxy, Twinsen must defeat the aliens and their evil god, the Dark Monk, to save his planet.

Little Big Adventure 2 is a must-have for any adventure games fan. This gem is everything its predecessor was, only better. With a top-notch story, moody music, and memorable characters it will give you a great gaming experience that will last for many hours. If you have played this game before, then you will be surprised how well it aged. If you haven't, then you are in luck - one of the best adventure games this planet has to offer is right here before you.

Most fun I've had with a game IN MY LIFE

Posted on 2011-10-20 07:15:15 by Coren's avatar Coren:

LBA2 holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first PC game I ever purchased with my own money (I still have the big box sitting on the shelf), and it is also the single best game experiences I had in my life.
i spent countless hours wandering through LBA2's charming and fascinating worlds, going off the beaten path to see what secrets I could discover. I was totally engrossed read more in the slightly cheesy but oh-so-exciting storyline. I loved the characters and the quirky animation. I loved the music, and even frequently popped the game CD into my CD player, just to hear the main theme again (it was one of those hybrid CD-ROM/audio CD discs).
I'm not quite sure how LBA2 holds up to today's standards, but I distinctly remember it being all excitement, adventure and charm. Those things don't just disappear with age.
Don't skip this one. Give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.

Fanastic Sequel

My favourite of the two, with a more finely crafted story and narrative and a whole new twist on the previous entry. LBA2 provides great gameplay, a much better and tighter control sceme than its predecessor and funny dialogue.
It also provides some rather great but dark moments (and I shant spoil those here) as it presents the story. A great mix of story telling and tugging on read more the heart-strings without going too far into the mushy territory.
The environments are just as broad this time around although I found you spent less time in each, possibly due to their size being reduced from the previous version. They are more diverse though and are beautifully presented.
A joy of my childhood and one I would happily relive again, I highly recommend any one give it a try at least.

Little Big Adventure 2 should be regarded as one of the most important adventure games on the pc. For those who have experienced the original LBA the sequel is such an improvement in every aspect, and for those who hasn't played the original it's probably even more stunning. The huge and varied world is so much fun to explore and the (for it's time) fantastic graphics really let it come alive.
This game should not be missed!
