That's more or less the goal here. World (market) domination and in doing so, the humiliation of between 1 to 8 AI (or human) opponents. It does get slightly more complicated than that, but there in lies the appeal.... full review
The tutorial helps to get ones feet wet where as the fully customisable open game allows you to jump in to a game for you to test your metal (or leather, or one of the hundred or so other commodities). Choosing between farming, mining, manufacturing and retailing (or any combination of the above if you want to take over the whole production chain) gives a wide scope for every game without ever getting bogged down by micro-management.
Capitalism 2 is an amazing, economic game, which offers very high complexity, not available in current (targeted to "average Joe") games. I would say that it's perfect for students interested in economical aspects of running a company. Branding, marketing, competing with local sellers, selling imported products or create products just from subproducts - really tons of... full review options and huge fun for those who need a little bit more complexity than current "economical" games offer.
This is the second installment of the Capitalism.
The Capitalism 2 concentrates more on store level management, and less on global.
And that is unlike what was done in original Capitalism, which succeeded on the whole picture.
But unlike Capitalism, this one has more modern and cartoonish graphics than its predecessor.
On the whole i'll give this game 3 stars for good attempt
