Sudden Strike 4

I have Linux version of this game and sadly it has a lot of problems, First problem what I noticed was the missing craters from explosions which Windows version has. This of course is only small problem and doesn't make game unplayable. But then I started to see more problems. Couple of German missions you have high possibility to get Fog of War fixed in some position which makes all enemy units invisible. Sometimes restarting mission will fix the problem, but German Mission 6 was where I always get FOW bug no matter what I did. I stopped playing German campaign after that. Then I started Allied campaign. Everything worked like it should, but then mission 4 started. All UI icons were glitched to hand icons or white boxes, game was freezed and only way to exit the game was using kill process in system monitor. After reinstalling problem was still there. When the game did work it was fun and challenging. Unit and vehicle sounds are good. Explosions have umpf in them and native voices are nice addition to make battlefield feel right. Unit pathfinding is good if you move only small group of troops, but bigger groups always ended to chaos and destruction. Missions are fun, different to each other and full of different ways to achieve mission goals. Score system was strange and after couple of missions I started to ignore it. Vehicle desctruction and all ground effects are nice looking and it was always enjoyable to watch when enemy shells bounce from my tanks front armor when align right against enemy tanks. Of course game would have been more fun and realistic feeling if it has longer range and field of view, but I understand maps would have been too small for such ranges. Summary: Game is fun to play when it wants to work like it should. I don't know how Windows version of game works, but I would guess problems what I have with the game are Linux only problems. I can recommend this game if you are using Windows. Otherwise don't buy.

Super Spiel !!

I bought this game as a Linux-User to play with my friends (Windows), as it is one of the few Multiplayer-Games here playable on Linux. Unfortunately we found out afterwards, that Crossplatform-Multiplayer is not meant to be in this game, announced by a developer in some steam-thread. ( https://steamcommunity.com/app/373930/discussions/0/2747650363455759375/ ) This should be made clear in the customer information before buying the game. For me, it did not fulfill its purpose, as I didn't look for a Singleplayer game or a Multiplayer game which I can play with a handful of Linux users...

Did not work on my computer. I tried to hit play and the screen went black.

Very disapointed. Worst tutorial I've seen for a long time (very clunky). No keyboard command changes allowed (a big issue for me and in modern gaming unforgivable) Plus lock ups on quit! I was really looking forward to this game - so sad they couldn't get the basics right
