Steelrising is a new Souls-like twist on the French Revolution that unfortunately doesn't see all of its lofty ambitions grow into accomplishments. While its gameplay is enjoyable once you get far enough to earn some unlocks and get main character Aegis more decked out, it tries to mimic elements of FromSoftware's action RPG classics without always understanding what made said elements work. When Spiders leans less on taking inspiration from other games and more on presenting its own ideas, however, we get an intriguing-and surprisingly deep-alternate take on an important moment in France's history.

Lacking but beautiful and fankly fun.

Souls like. Love how every weapon has different attack actions. Gracful designs fitting for her model name, dancer. The two problems i have is with the interactons in the cinematic cuts. A little lifeless, ignore you as they preform as they are on a broadway show. The second is only french man that gets the drop on you is a black noble. It uimmmersioned me from the world by reminding of how modern politics are being forced in entertainment. Same with the skin color choice. Instead of black and brown why not gold silver or bronze? The ceramic showscases the vanity in the creation so perfectly. So why stray from the theme?

solid title

I don't have a huge experience on soul type games, but it feels like a good game. The combat is fair, the character is responsive and there is an interesting story. It is a worth purchase, especially on a sale

Nette Grafik mehr aber auch nicht

Pro: nette Automatenidee Grafisch schick gemacht das Kampfsystem ist übersichtlich die kleinen Kämpfe sind ok Die Bosskämpfe fordernd und knackig Kontra: Story leider wenig und eher naja Die Wegsuche zum Ziel ist zum Teil echt frustriewrend Kartensystem ? welches Kartensystem Die Zielrichtung ist eher ein grober Tipp

Great game

My first soulslike game. Just over 4 h played but so far I love it. Great music, graphics, athmosphere. Alternative history with mechanic dolls is great idea. It was difficult to me at the beginning but now game is getting easier after I upgraded my level. I recommend to everyone who like Frensh vibes.
