Nothing special

This is a 08/15 RPGMaker game...nothing stands out. The set is mostly standard RPGMaker. The game is short...finished it in 2 1/2 hours...but only because the Hero can't walk faster than an 80 year old (nothing against 80 year old ones...but he is very very slow). That is especially pity because most of the time there is nothing (absolut 0 Zero Zip) except the desolate area. The advertising speaks of hundrets of NPC's and areas and many different enemies. Only that nearly every NPC does nothing for the story, the areas are dull and some chests with items are not worth the long walking. The different enemies? Most times you just hit them with your sword (because you don't have good magic and even less MP) they are 1 hit and gone. During the play you can do some side quest (like play hide and seek, or get some special meat). Ah, don't forget...the final fight. You see the level cap is 15...than only some side quests give you a little boost for your stats. Now, everything you've done is just for fun....because the final biggy can kill you with one hit (if you are unlucky and you'll be unlucky!!!) no wonder you have just over 40 HP, whereas he has some hundrets. Now, can I recommend this game? NO. There are so many other good and free RPGMaker games around that even € 1 for this is too much.

Few hours of a different entertainment!

First of all: the game is advised for people who are fond of the paladin class. The story was nice and original, I really liked the mature evolution of the story, with its self-honest narrative. It starts almost as a child fable, to evolve into something more... 'important'. This game seems like a father's work passed to his sons - along with some very good teachings in it. Yes: the ambientation is deja-vu, the enemies very classic and the story is very linear, there are almost no side quests and the graphic is nice... but with no extremely flashy graphics... though I appreciated the balanced fights and the straight-forward mechanisms of the game. It's a relaxing, simple game, made for people which are into serious adult things: personally I'm in a life changing moment, with +8 hours of work per day, thus I found I truly appreciated such a colourful, fantasy, diversion. In this case, brevity, has been a PLUS. A well spent €. Thanks to the creators!

Simple but endearing

This game is a throwback to simpler RPGs, and is a bit charming. The graphics are nice enough, the music is good, the gameplay is straightforward. Its short, has a clear story to tell, and is cheap and cheeful.

It's Fine

It's an ok game. Might hold some appeal to gamers who played rpgs in the 80s and 90s. Not so sure about the rest. Honestly, I was kind of bored with the game until I got 1/3 of the way in to the city and after that the game got a little more interesting and kept my interest long enough to complete it (it's not long, 4-8 hours). The story is charming, though not deep. The music is well made. The graphics will probably hold some appeal to those who played games like Final Fantasy on the SNES. It's not big budget, but it is pretty. The fights are very easy if you grind a little (though the game is far from a grind-fest). For the most part, you can just hit away, though a few harder fights might require some strategy (by JRPG standards, don't expect strategy games level tactics here). Overall, if you have time and you want a deep engrossing rpg game with deep epic story archs and an engrossing mytho, you can do better than this game with your time. But if you are nostalgic about JRPGs from the SNES and can't get into an epic because there are many demands on your time, this game might be worth considering.

Nice little game

Have enjoyed the game so far, ok story and game play, can't find the skeleton key though so can go no further, shame as was really enjoying it
