Half beautiful, half terrible
..remake. I don't get why the developers of this remake weren't capable to iron out all the gamebreaking bugs and performance issues before releasing this game. The graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is as sweet as it was in the original and the controls have been MUCH improved and adapted to modern standards. Since the story pretty much remains the same as in the original, I am not going to review it. The elephant in the room is the poor optimization, even though development had enough time to do their work. Why? I had to search the www for manual fixes for the horrible performance (3 fps in fullscreen, even in menues. Permament) to make this game playable at all. This is something a client should NOT have to care about!!! And I keep running into bugs and other issues, that make me want to punch this game copy into someone's faces. I cannot recommend a game in such a horrible shape, still years after its release.
