I love an adventure game, but this isn't
If you're expecting another Armikrog then look elsewhere.
I've sunk a lot of time into this game and so far i haven't come across any reason why it should be classified as such. there's no challenge, no objective, no puzzles and no fun. All you do is follow instructions to go from one place to the next.
Yes, its looks great and but that's really not enough. If it was a film or tv show (and let's face it, that's all it really is) it would be panned, but in "game form" it's lauded as an artistic masterpiece.
In case you haven't understood - there is literally nothing to do except watch a (frankly quite boring) story unfold. Seriously, there's a section where you're instructed to go and ask someone on the other side of the ship to do a thing that's important. So you get there, talk to the person and they won't do it. So you go back to the first person and they say it didn't matter anyway because they solved the problem on their own. I mean, what a timewaster.
Some people have praised the voice acting, but honestly it's "ok" at best. many of the lines are delivered with the wrong tone so it just pretty flat, and occasionally the voice doesn't match the subtitles.
I've even seen spelling errors in the subtitles (notably when you're first introduced to the Social District, the word "stream" you hear in the first poem is written as "steam").
Such a shame. when I first saw this advertised I had high hopes, but was sorely disappointed. Just, don't bother.
