Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

I love this game and have played it through three time! Rouge Human - Focused on dual wielding daggers and poison. Not great against Dragons and trolls but a very valuable assist to the group. Dwarf Fighter - Focused on big double handed weapons. Tank through and through. Elf Rouge - Focused on Archery and traps. I didn't expect much from this Character but pleasantly surprised at his ability to inflict damage. Much like using a mage. Keep your distance and pic off the enemies that are approaching and support the tank! What ever character you make be sure to have a mage that can heal and craft health potions. You will not get far with out health potions. Oh did I mention the dragons are BOSS!!!

This is a game from a time when Bioware still made great games. It hits all the Bioware checkmarks that more recent games from the studio fail to do: * Interesting and compelling story - check. * Beautifully written characters - check. * Engaging and not dumbed down RPG experience - check

Shortly: One of the best RPG ever made. Played it when it came out. Finished it 4 times in a row. I do not know why other parts of the series weren't nearly as good. Still remember a lot of things fom this game. Thank you!

I had it on steam. I had it on origin. Now I see it on gog: good one more pls! This is the first game that make me truly fall in love with. 150+ hrs on steam, more hours on wandering in Thedas world and comics and such. Currently on my second run. With a different PC, different background I got to see more, even from the same dialogue. And the more you think about it, the more different perspective you take, the better you understand the WHOLE story. Characters The characters inside feel real in a sense that they are not not from a stereotype. You probably could see very divergent comments on some characters: some hate them and some love them. And you'll find those reaction to be reasonable cuz that's how the characters were built. (minor spoiler maybe) I am taking ALISTAIR as an example cuz he was my true love in my first run. Also an important character in the game. Many complained that he was not masculine enough, that he was whiny, that he was always running away from his responsibility, that he broke his words and ***, etc. Many loved him as even his awkwardness was so endearing, that he was gentleman, that he had a dry humour, etc. And you would be finding both sides in him. Yes, I was and I am a Alistair fan but I fully understand why people hate him because I agree sometimes that he was whiny. Depending on my own PC build I could see both ways. Well I still loves him :) Plot Yes the main plot was epic. You have a chance to be a hero who rose from no one to save the country or even the world. But is that the whole story? No. When we are in it, in our PC, in our standpoint, we would have a judge about who are 'good' and who are 'bad'. Some characters in the game would be called by many players traitors, b**ch, etc. Are those labels true though? I myself found that when I realized another side of the characters, I came to understand them closer. (spoiler) / Is grey wardens the symbol of justice? No. Think again what Duncan has done.

A must play for medieval-like fantasy RPG fans. Story might feel very basic, yet it is told in a compelling manner and with some great moments. Solid tactical combat design. Eclipse engine is probably one of the most fitting engines for party-based RPGs that also try to make you "wow" at the ambience. A certain artistic gusto permeates everything in this game, a gusto that you might love or not. I personally adore it.
