RIP AND TEAR!! *Updated Review*
*Original Review*
I'm ecstatic that Doom Eternal is finally home on GOG! :D
not afraid to admit I bought the Deluxe Edition version (for Demonic Slayer Skin and the Classic Weapon Sound Pack especially if your OG Doom fan you know, you know)
but what I'm not a fan of, is the other cosmetic packs locked behind Galaxy/BethesdaNET DRM. (hence -1 star)
i hope GOG finds a way to remove the DRM requirement for all Cosmetic/Level and Sound Pack DLC's of this game in the future as a majority can be used in single player during both Cutscenes/Gameplay. perhaps eventually there can be an added proper skip BethesdaNET login with a "no thank you and don't ask again" option.
but that said, having offline installers for all DLC's would easily get 5 stars from me and will update my review to reflect the changes, if or when enacted.
**Update** king_kunat (GOG.com Team) Doom Eternal Forum Post (2026/04/09)
Hey, all!
As promised, coming back with an update, and a good one at that :D
So, we managed to find a fix that allows cosmetics DLCs to be accessible fully offline, without needing to launch GOG GALAXY – and it's live right now!
Oh, and the missing discounts for DLCs are no longer missing :)
Once again, thank you for your feedback as well as the warm messages we received in response to our posts here – it means a lot to us. Now go and give no mercy to those demons ;)
** Updated Review ** as promised we've finally have the offline installers for the cosmetic packs (including Rip and Tear Pack) as stated by the GOG team post above as a PSA.
also a reviewer of my word I've updated my rating to reflect the noted content changes.
