Classic hack and slash rogue/like
It's Diablo. I'd hope people understand what that means but you basically walk around and shoot/slash enemies while picking up randomized loot.

Such a legendary game
Enough said. This game is iconic, and even after all these years it's such an engrossing experience to play it. Tristram feels as eerie and feeble a temporary sanctuary as ever, and the cathedral's hellish depths, each one more nightmarish than the previous, still give such an ominous dread of progression. This game still is the backbone of what the genre and the franchise should represent.
