Make "playonlinux" scripts for games
@Magmarock: I don't know how or if any of this works, but there are _a_lot_ of user posts* in the forums, explaining how to make games work on Linux. So it seems 'very' possible that GOG could do it as well.
*example: www.gog.com/forum/torchlight_series/playit_install_the_torchlight_games_on_linux
I don't think this would work. I'm not expert but I think POL requires the internet to function meaning that GOG Linux games would have the same handy-cap as DRM stuff.
Think of all the developers who use or recommend WINE to potential customers instead of even considering a Linux port. May as well prefix all comments concerning WINE (Cedega, PlayOnLinux, etc) with "******* Linux! "-
While I agree this would be a good idea it would involve a involvement between PoL group (non profit) and GoG (profit) working together.
Alternatively you could just look here www.playonlinux.com/en/supported_apps-1-0.html and scroll down until you see "GOG.com - NameOfGame"
At least there should be a listing next to a game whether such a script exists and whether or not it is a good script. Culling this information from PlayOnLinux would be relatively easy (I'd assume there are scripts that exist that weren't written by GOG as well), and putting it next to the game would be a real boon for the linux community.
